Kouklia (Greek: Κούκλια Turkish: Kukla) is a village in the Paphos District, about 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) from the city of Paphos on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. The village is built in the area of "Palaepaphos" (Old Paphos), mythical birthplace of Aphrodite, Greek goddess of love and beauty, which became the centre for her worship in the ancient world.

Anyone from a benign interest in horses to the more advanced: I can confidently advise you to choose the Aphrodite Hills Riding Centre. Communication was quick and efficient. Polite and informative. We had contacted a few schools regionally and felt this was a good fit. I think it’s important that if you are considering this facility that you understand Pat (owner) has both the horses and the experience to match you with the right horse. As such don’t be shy to share what you want. Pat will make it happen. A concern with similar far flung school hacks is you are plopped on a pony that resists any reasonable input from the rider while tiredly killing time until it gets returned to its paddock. Pat will put you on anything from a kids pony (evidenced by the delighted 3 and 4 year olds waving their arms off as we set off) to a horse with good manners and great form, as my partner found. Pat works on good feedback. Tell her about what you want and allow her to get it done. Trot. Photo ops. Politics. Banking sector. Canter. Leave it to Pat. 10/10 would recommend.

Based in a typically Cypriot Village, Kouklia Arts Centre is now spread between three lovely old buildings, the old 'shop' which is now the Gallery and studio - so anything associated with paint and clay -the old stone house, with a beautiful courtyard garden, where we run a range of drawing, painting and craft classes, and our craft shop, which faces onto the Village Square. Wander around an extensive range of traditional and more modern arts and crafts, all hand made in Cyprus,-meet the artists and watch work in creation. The ideal opportunity to pick up 'a unique memento. Or sign up for classes, including sculpture, painting and drawing, silk printing, and much more.

Aphrodite's Rock is the place to be if you search beautiful scenery... amazing pictures could be taken there. The beach is rocky but the water clean. Some people are swimming there as well.

Went here around lunch time, the weather was amazing, so the walk was very nice. Saw a huge lizard, which was a plus. The archeological remains were very interesting, and we loved the museum, especially since there was a guy working there (Elias, if I remember correctly) who told us many interesting things about the exhibits and pointed us towards the most significant pieces.
