The museum is Ju Ming’s largest artwork to date. He personally designed the architecture, landscapes, wirings and plumbing. Not only did he purchase the property to build the museum, but he also donated over 2000 pieces of his own works and personal collection to the museum for the public to view. Starting from the ground up, it took Ju Ming 12 years to finish the construction work and he had turned a vacant land into a sculpture park. The museum officially opened in 1999, planting
Being a Tai Chi practitioner, my friends brought me to this museum which is devoted to the work of a Taiwanese artist. The place is mainly about sculpture, but there are also some other exhibits (photo, modern art installations). The museum is established in a huge park, with many monumental sculpture and installations. The road to the place is lovely, especially if you ride a motorbike: a small and sinuous mountain road in a beautiful surrounding.

We were a group of six who came for a day tour of this beautiful spiritual community started in 1989 and completed in 2005 by Master Sheng Yen. We arrived and had a tour of the main building that gave an excellent history of the project and its place within the Chan Buddhist Tradition. We had an excellent lunch in the monastery dining room and then visited the lotus feel park which houses a 15 ton bronze bell inscribed with the Diamond Sutra in 80,000 characters. It is rung twice a year. The hospitality was very kind, the tour informative and the place is a beautiful example of contemporary Buddhist design.

This is by fast the most beautiful resting place for any artist in the world. So beautifully created everything! From her beautiful grave site to giant piano, green landscapes decorated with flowers... beautiful stone carvings.. Although I couldn't go inside the main garden where I wanted to but yet truly mesmerized from my visit. Thanks!
