Theatre was very relaxed and comfortable with large seat. Theatre had a peaceful atmosphere and not a large theatre but very friendly and staff very helpful and viewing was very satisfying. Facilities excellent as in toilets food and small cues for tickets either online or desk. Manager very informative.

All of it. It had displays of all sorts of periods from early Maori to Dally gum diggers to swamp kauri recovery to world wars displays to the french terrorists in NZ. A great museum. Well worth the entry fee. Allow a good bit of time--it is much bigger than you might think !

Beautiful fresh water lake with golden Sandy beach. You can wade out 50-60m into the shallows and just be mesmerised by how clear the water is and how the light bounces through it. Really great spot for a picnic and there’s an outdoor play area for the kids. You’ll feel like you’ve missed out if you don’t check this out whilst on holiday in the area.

An amazing 30 minute walk through a beautiful Kauri forest park. The path meanders through the park past hundreds of beautiful Kauri trees, but also, very sadly, past a number of trees dying from Kauri Die Back.
