Once a shipbuilding city, Newcastle's flashier claim to fame is nightlife. Throw in a heap of premium restaurants serving foods from all over the world and it's no wonder young partiers choose to blow their hard-earned (or not-so-hard-earned) cash in Newcastle. While these amenities are certainly a draw for the hipsters and culture-seekers, it's the locals that make Newcastle a truly special place to visit. "Geordies," as they are often called, embody the pride, industriousness and resilient spirit of their city.

We regret to inform you that The Bowl Newcastle will not be reopening. Due to the impact of Covid-19 and the implications and restrictions this has on the leisure industry, it is not financially viable to re-open the bowling centre and the Directors have made the difficult decision to liquidate the company. We would like to thank all our customers for their support over the past 12 months and hope that the bowling centre will reopen one day in the future.
The Newcastle bowl is somewhere I used to go when I was a kid I am now 60. The centre after being closed for nearly a year has been taken over and reopened by a group of bowlers. It has been redecorated and refurbished including all electrical installations including wide screen TV's and electronic scoring. The lanes have been reconditioned and are fully operational. The Bowl has 16 Lanes open to the public but on some evenings, it manages league competitions. It has a good bar with a wide selection of beer and spirits, it has a food outlet selling hot and cold food. This is a great place to visit on a rainy day or just with a group of friends. There are loads of special offers available one of which will suit your needs. You can order food and drinks form the lanes whilst your playing so why not give it a go. Pool tables and arcade games are also available
