The Sportsmans Motor Inn is a four star motel just 2 1/2 hours from Melbourne and 7 Hours from Sydney. We pride ourselves on luxury accommodation for our guests. We are located right across the road from the Barooga Sports Club and we overlook the famous Sporties Cobram Barooga Golf Club 36 holes golf course. We are within walking distance to Barooga Sporties Health and Fitness Centre. We have a fantastic walking track for our guests to appreciate the wild life Barooga has to offer. We are only 5 minutes drive to Cobram and set right on the Murray River. We cater for all interests- Golf Package, Families, Corporate Travellers, Couples, Weddings, Private Functions and so much more. We have 30 rooms from Self Contained Apartments for larger groups and families, Motel Rooms are our guests here on business and Spa Rooms for a Romantic Getaway to unwind.
Great Motel in quite setting
Reviewed By John WHad 2 rooms for a single night. Very spacious and comfortable and reasonable price for what is offered. Staff were efficient and friendly. Location across the road from club was convenient. The rooms each had comfy recliner chairs, a great bed, kitchens with all the required items for a short stay.

A gem amongst the river gums on the Murray
Reviewed By paulbZ847YKmy wife and I recently spent a night (30 Apr / 1 May 2022) at this wonderful location, it was our first visit (we reside in Albury NSW) to this lovely spot on the mighty Murray river. The room (#4 Studio Apartment) that we stayed in is superb - generous spaces in the main room with a large kitchenette and a large shower / toilet area. All furniture and fittings are modern and exceptionally clean. The TV is a good size - so that you don't have to squint or get really close to watch. The car parking space is generous to say the least - there is enough room for the low table and two outdoor chairs in between cars. The reception area is clear and easily accessible - Wendy is very capable and obliging - nothing is a problem that can't be addressed, Paul is very accommodating and friendly, Jan (my wife) and I were made very welcome - it was similar to arriving at our relative's homes - happy families....... The grounds are maintained beautifully - not a blade of grass missing. The pool looked inviting - would have been a tad cold due to autumn climate. What a location - the river and a well kept parkland area right across the road, a Golf course on the same road, and , a pub next door where we had a great meal and drinks. The cooked breakfast is really good - you get bang for your buck. Jan and I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone - if you have never been to Barooga (across the river from Cobram VIC), and you decide to go - stay here, you will not be disappointed. Can’t be beat on the Murray
Reviewed By Paul MFresh, modern accommodation only around 60 steps from the 16th green - the old 18th - on the old course. Spacious bathrooms, large room and very peaceful. Stayed thanks to a fantastic package deal which was great value for money and is worth asking about. Only downside is the adjoining golf club building is now open for functions only so all gold facilities are around 600m down the road at Sporties.

Reviewed By na0mi68This great motel is directly opposite the golf club, with the West course out your back door. The motel is well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Lovely grounds and great BBQ and pool area. The hosts at the Motel make you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Perfect accommodation for a golfing trip or family getaway.

Reviewed By MorkwBec & Chris were awesome at every turn. Mitel room was renovated and big and comfy. Couldn’t be better placed for golf. We he cooked breakfast in the package was perfect. I has bacon sausages toast tomatoes baked beans or cereal. And they will cater to the more “fussy types” and high I can be..! Great pool area and games room so very family oriented as well
