Was fortunate to be recommended to stay here by a friend - it is so far the best hotel I have stayed at in West Africa and at an affordable price as well. The rooms seems inspired by the local traditions but cozy decorated. Currently you would need to book by calling - or find them on Facebook and use messenger to make a reservation. It is in walkable distance from the airport or a few minutes with tuk-tuk

Charming small guesthouse right in the middle of town next to the Grand Mosque. Terrace is spectacular looking down below. Room is relatively well lit, spacious with plugs, a fridge, a fan and working wifi. Bathroom was a little dirty and needed mopping, and shower water was consistently cold, thus the deduction of one star. Breakfast was eggs, bread, coffee, tea and juice. For dinner, the guesthouse has an Italian restaurant a few metres away - the Pilier - fine for pizza and pasta.

Well guarded and cosy hotel outside of the city centre, next to the airport's runway. The location is quiet (as another reviewer already stated, there are no mosques in the neighbourhood, so you won't hear any muezzin calling). My room was spacious but basic and in general clean. Water was not always available (I suspect water pressure was too low for the first floor when guests on the ground floor consumed too much water). Electricity was available at all times. The hotels offers breakfast only; the restaurant was closed at the time of my stay. The bar area is really cosy, especially at night, and well frequented by local people. The beer is very cheap (Bière Niger for CFA 700,-). Unfortunately, nowhere in Agadez I have encountered so many flies as in the bar area here. No WiFi.

We stayed at the Auberge in Timia in August of 2012 on an expedition up north. It is by far the nicest place for several hundred miles. There are actual beds and western style bathroom facilities in each room. The hotel has a generator which provides electricity until around 10 PM at night, making cold Coca Cola possible. There is an Orange cell tower in the city so phone voice service, no data in 2012, does work. The nearby gardens are a nice place to rest in the shade, no real mosquito problems, a quick drive to the center of town. Be realistic, Timia is far removed from western civilization. For the location, this hotel cannot be beat.

Nothing working toilet no work , shower no work . Running water every few hours dirty sheets needs to close it is totally rundown . Breakfast is just BAD. And don’t eat in the restaurant. Bed is the most uncomfortable I have ever slept flat with no flexibility . Prefer another hotel in agadez
