The mosques, bazaars, and Turkish baths of Istanbul could keep you happily occupied for your entire trip: an eyeful of breathtaking architecture here, a good-natured haggle over a carpet there. Kick your trip off at the awe-inspiring Sultan Ahmet Camii (Blue Mosque), which is visible from many points of the city. Stroll the Galata Bridge and stop by the Miniaturk Park to see its tiny artifacts. The Grand Bazaar has thousands of shops to browse, while the Egyptian Bazaar is a fragrant trove of spices and fruits.

Reputation - for quality, service and price - is the cornerstone of the Hakan Evin Rug Store. If you want to see the best oriental rug collection and meet the most knowledgeable rug dealer of kings, presidents and movie stars please come and pay visit to Hakan Evin Rug Store. We guarantee to give you the best quality, service and price. We highly to recommend you to make an appointment to meet Hakan Evin personally.
Hakan Evin (Imperio Otomano): The very best place to buy beautiful handmade carpets in Istanbul. Highly recommend. Hakan is a very reputable carpet dealer, someone you can trust 100%. He is very knowledgable, professional and trustworthy. He will NEVER sell you an acrylic rug making you believe is pure silk! His carpets are all over the world. He has carpets for every budget because his philosophy is: buy a carpet that makes you happy, because carpets last a lifetime! We purchased several carpets from Hakan when we were stationed in Istanbul. Love them all.

Going to Turkey, we naturally planned to purchase a Turkish carpet. We’d planned to go to the Grand Bazaar and just pick a shop. Our guide recommended Vezirhan for quality and reputation. (Our guide as recommended by my friends in Turkey, and you can read my review on her here in TripAdvisor as well - she was FANTASTIC. ) The facility is beautiful and their selection was mind-boggling. The experience itself was like nothing I’ve ever seen. They showed us the weaving process in action and we were able to weave a bit ourselves (I’m not quitting my day job ????). We ended up spending a bit more than we’d intended, but we now have a family heirloom that will remain in our family for generations. We maybe could have saved some money by going elsewhere, but between the experience and the quality of the product, I was extremely happy.
