You may experience the time with adrable birds in the park by watching, feeding and so forth. The park itself is quite clean and you may be excited to see the birds flying around you. "Birds Show", which I joined at the outside garden, is a lot of fun. Some birds will fly over you and behave according to the instructors' signs. What I enjoyed was penguins' walk. They were really adrable! This park should be worth visiting.

This is a fantastic zoo for any fans of reptiles and amphibians. It has a very large variety of reptiles on display and fantastic interactive experiences! Highlights for us were the free range tortoises, tortoise race, and the size of the zoo (much more extensive than we thought). We weren't able to see some reptiles but this was because they had high quality terrain in their terrariums i.e. lots of foliage/logs etc. There is limited information about the reptiles in english but google meant this wasn't really an issue. Ample parking, huge gift store, and good meal selections. We thought the ticket was well worth the experience!

Shimoda Aquarium

Shimoda Aquarium is built using the natural coves of Shimoda Bay, which is in the southern part of the Izu Peninsula. The area of this cove is about 18,000 square meters, which is as large as the baseball field of Tokyo Dome. Once you cross the floating pier, which stretches about 130 meters from the aquarium entrance to the Akanejima Island on the opposite shore, you can see the ocean animals of Shimoda Bay and Bottlenose Dolphins swimming in the coves throughout the year. An aquarium boat, "Aqua Dome Perry" floats at the center of the cove. This rare boa houses a large tank with ten thousand ocean animals from 60 species, replicating the sea of Izu. This is an aquarium where visitors can come very close to the ocean animals and see, touch, and enjoy their shows.

Not much of a bird-lover, I agreed to go with Hubby. KACHOEN is quite AMAZING. First, a variety of owls, with different "eyebrows". Explosion of color from the flowers, begonias in hanging baskets, other flowers from floor to ceiling, even in February! Take a seat for the live owl performance, very well trained! I liked the flamingos best. Outside their cage is Mt. Fuji up close. And look for the "Trump" bird: looks, walks, and talks like Trump...
