The Dharma Yoga New York Center is a beautiful 7,500 foot space offering yoga practices for the public 7 days a week. The Center is a testament to Sri Dharma Mittra's 50 years of teaching yoga. At 72 years old, Sri Dharma Mittra continues to teach here, five days a week, with 13 practices and workshops that range in focus from postures and breathing to meditation and philosophy. In addition, the Dharma Yoga Center offers practices for beginners and all level students focusing on health and well-being.
I completed my 200hr teacher training at the Dharma Yoga centre. As soon as i walked in the place felt like home, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the yoga i had never experienced anything like it before. The teachers at the centre are phenomenal, truly inspirational, always available for help and questions and teaching standards are super high. You really do learn from the best at the Dharma centre. Dharma Mittra himself is this playful character that is full of love and wisdom. I looked forward to our sessions with him and learning from the master. The training was intense but something i would definitely do again, i miss attending and learning from the best and hope to be back again soon. It truly is a special place that i would highly recommend you visit even if its just for one class! It really is a truly life changing experience and one that has helped delve deeper into my own practise and teaching. I came away with so much more than when i first stepped foot into the building. If you have been considering taking this training, i would just like to give that gentle push of do it! It's an experience you'll never forget and one to cherish forever. Thankyou Dharma and to everyone that was involved in my time there. Hope to be back again soon!

We offer Bike Cardio & Yoga Classes in Central Park, New York. At the core of Buddhism is the notion that we are surrounded by Yin and Yang - feminine/masculine, dark/light, black/white, passive/active. The same way Yang (masculine, light, activity) relates to the Yin (feminine, shade, rest) we combined BIKING (active cardio exercise ) with YOGA (relaxed strength training) to provide you with a balanced workout experience. We also believe that in our world of dust, noise, computers, cell phones and gray monotonic fitness centers our bodies deserve their fair share of natural sunlight, fresh air and green peace. That is why our classes are designed to be held outdoors - in the heart and lungs of the concrete jungle - Central Park.
