Dona Felisa Winery

Bodegas Dona Felisa is a company dedicated to the production and aging of exclusive wines of the highest quality. Our quality is based on a well cared and limited production in the vineyards, giving the wine its "Terroir" taste. The winery Taller Bodegas Dona Felisa is located at a place where you can enjoy what nowadays known as "enological tourism", because it is near the old Roman city of Acinipo. Acinipo, land of wine. Through a controlled process which begins with taking care of the vineyard and ends with the produced wine, we offer our clients a high quality product with a conceptual background and an exclusive design. "Chinchilla", where our winery is located, was famous in Ancient Rome because of its vineyards and wines which were sent to Rome from Malaga's coast. At present our wine is distributed worldwide and it is, very likely, the most international Andalusian red wine.

We had an excellent tour of the winery followed by delicious tapas and wine tasting. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, particularly on a sunny day. If you get the chance to get hold of some petit verdot wine, do so. It is first class.

This was one of our favorite places in Marbella. Great olive oil and wine. We went back several times. We brought several bottles of olive oil and wine back to the US.

We booked a visit on their website because the we were intrigued by the building and the combination of some good wine and food. The experience ended up being so much better then we expected that we must recommend it as it is well worth going out of your way for it. The combination of the excellent explanations by Rose, the stunning views, the excellent and surprising wines and the great food from Andre makes this an awesome experience and an afternoon well spent!

This was such an awesome winery to visit! It was a completely private tour with myself and my wife with the owner. It was great! The winery itself is an old monastery from the 1500's. It was amazing to see the grounds and the history, as well as having amazing wine! Miguel was an amazing host!

Vina & Bodega Remsamen

The bodega is situated on a hill at an altitude of 350m and 15 km from the Mediterranean Sea. In 2008 we started on 1 hectare a small vineyard with 3 types of grapes, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. We don't use chemical pesticides or artificial fertilizers and don't add yeast or sulphite. We do not filter the wine crystal clear in order to maintain their optimal flavour and colour. From 2018 we only grow Chardonnay. We are not a commercial vineyard, but show and explain how white and red wine is made. At the wine tasting, we taste the chardonnay and 2 red wines that we have produced in recent years. Visits by appointment for a tour and a tasting.

My wife and I have visited many wineries with tours and tasting all over the place, but the visit at the small family owned Remsamen Bodega surpassed our earlier experiences. The hosts, Marjelijn and Rene', gave us a both personal and knowledgeable presentation and tour about the history of the winery, their own experiences and, of course, the secrets of wine making. So much the better that their wines were both good and affordable and were savoured together with some cheese, salami and quiche. We can warmly recommend a visit at Remsamen Bodega????

What a fantastic place to visit. We booked the wine tour and meal and I have to say it was an excellent afternoon. Started with a tour of their vineyards and bodega and Miguel answered our many questions Then we were seated in a beautiful courtyard where Isabel served us our meals. The food was fantastic. Meats, cheese, breads, omelette, paella and dessert. And of course accompanied by some of the nicest wine I have ever tasted. So nice we bought 4 bottles to take home. Isabel and Miguel made us very welcome and fussed over the children Well worth the visit and we will definitely return

This afternoon, I had the pleasure of meeting Araceli and Martin, a couple who own a small organic vineyard, Bodega Kieninger, outside of Ronda. Araceli invited me to stop by this early evening, knowing I was only one person and couldn’t make it until well after typical visiting hours. I was able to visit and spend one-on-one time with her, as she kindly walked me around and explained much of the history, grapes, and methodology. Her husband Martin, born and raised in Austria, relocated here to the Ronda area and turned his hobby of winemaking into a full-time affair. Their vineyard is fully organic, relying on methods such as fermented milk and mites to tackle problems such as fungus and spiders. They produce around 10,000 bottles a year (compared to Doña Felisa, around 175,000), and they utilize grapes from Austria, France, and Spain. One my favorite things is the fact that they named their wine white after one of their dogs, Blanco, who they rescued two years ago (pictured below, obviously). I really enjoyed their wine (well actually all of their wines, but this one especially), their 2015 “7 Vines”, which is a blend of two kinds of Austrian grapes: Blaufraenkisch and Zweigelt. And yes, of course, I left with some good bottles to take home.
