Xecue Vinicola

Alberta and Jose Luis in 1999 began developing artisanal wine to taste at home, in the year 2005 they decided to make their first wine for sale, they wished they had the essence of sharing their profession and their journey through life. Jose Luis is in charge of the field, the operative part of the winery and make sure the vines give excellent results and to ensure that the parameters have been proposed as standard, while Alberta is the Winemaker of the winery, she is responsible for the management of winemaking processes and administration, both demonstrate their fellowship and giving in each of their bottles. Initially Jose Luis and Alberta chose the best plots and designed wines that would enter the market in 2006, the same year they began a new adventure: the construction of the winery, which has been opened since the summer of 2012 to the public for tasting and sales. In Xecue Winery our products are made with care, each wine has its own personality, range of wines are balanced by subtle feminine and masculine character sets, these particular traits are expressed on the label.

We were recommended a wine from Xecue at a restaurant the night before and loved it! We decided to visit the winery the next day and it is in a beautiful location. As we were having our wine the owner approached us and asked if we wanted to tour the winery! Awesome experience and excellent wines! Totally recommended when you come to Valle de Guadalupe.

Went here with my wife to chill and tried their wine I have brought people here before for a tour but never tried myself until today. The wines where very tasty specially their Chardonnay which was great with the warm weather of the day, they also offer a very good cheese board which we consumed with our wines. The view is my favorite out of all the winneries, their service is also very good Karen took care of me and my wife and gave us a very nice explanation of the wines we were tasting that day and made sure that nothing was missing for us that day, she was also very quick to refill our glasses whenever they got emptied. I will come back again to try their Pinot Noir which I've heard good things about!

I went to this winery as part of my shore excursion when sailing on the carnival imagination out of long beach. This one of the oldest wineries in this country and i learned tons of great facts and history like Al Capone being supplied liquor from here during prohibition. I personally did not like the wines but a lot of people took home multiple bottles.

Vinisterra Vitivinicola

Vinisterra was founded in 2002, born out of the friendship between the entrepreneur, Guillermo Rodriguez Macouzet, and the enologist, Christoph Gaertner and their common passion for wine and the terroir of Ensenada valleys. We are a micro-producer winery with 15 collaborators, producing 50,000 bottles of wine per year with a deep respect of our lands and our community. We try to express with pride the great nature of Baja California through our wines. The grapes for our wines grow in our vineyards in Santo Tomas and Guadalupe valleys in a surface of 11 hectares. Our winery was built out of bricks that were made with the soil of the town. We work with a minimum intervention oenology so consequently the wines of every single vine can express itself with a unique and pure taste as much as possible.
