The wines by the glass change every week, with a unique selection of craft beer on tap, cocktails made to order and delicious cheese and charcuterie plates to share. Sit back on the soft leather chairs and share a bottle from the Wine Store with a friend, or on a sunny afternoon the deck is a lovely spot to watch the world go by with an spritz or two. Open every day from 1pm till late, enter via the Woodend Wine Store.
We dropped in for a pre-dinner drink on a cold night. The establishment is warm, cosy and casual with really friendly staff. The range of drinks choices was excellent, and we enjoyed ourselves so much we ended up late for our dinner reservation. Well worth the visit, and some different offerings from the usual.

A cozy and unpretentious Whisky Bar in the heart of Melbourne CBD. We have over 360 whiskies from Scotland, Japan, America, Australia and many other countries. Open every day from 12 noon until 12 midnight.
Great little place. Our host was an Italian/Scottish Aussie who appears to be part of the structure of the place; loves his whisky and is full of great advice. The sort of bar you see in movies but rarely exists in real life.

Archive Wine Bar is a Bar, Bottle Shop & Deli, allowing you to drop in for a glass of wine and enjoy a cheese or charcuterie platter. Archive offers over 100 wines by the glass using the Coravin & Perlage systems as well as a carefully curated selection of craft beers and whiskies from hard to find distilleries. We have back vintages from small wineries available in 75ml & 150ml pours.
This wine bar is in an unprepossessing part of the city ,way south of the CBD but worth the drive, taxi or walk. It is partly owned by the people from Lethbridge wines hence an excellent selection of their wines but these are far outweighed by a wide selection from local and international sources. Many wines are available by 70cl or 150 cl measures so one can taste a selection. The Coravin system used ensures that all are fresh. The food menu is compact but well suits the focus of the bar. We had an excellent Gorgonzola melt, a chorizo salad and a few other bits and enjoyed all. I was able to enjoy two wines from Kernoer and my wife really liked her 2016 Lethbridge Indra. And the source if the name, the inners’ daughter was serving. Quite an excellent wine bar and one which gives most city examples a case of embarrassment.
