Very nice natural reserve where the main attraction is the rapids in the Pite river. You can also walk on trails and bridges a little away from the river itself. There are several prepared bbq sites. There is also a café also serving light meals open in the summer and a shop with local handicraft open the year around. You can also visit a museum show how timber was transported down the river and all its rapids from the middle of the 18 hundreds.

Great experience and impressive waterfall! The people caring for the spot / waterfall had done a great job with the spot, so the trail is well placed, you can easily understand more about the nature reseve, the waterfall and nature around it (like the fish in the river / water). The waterfall is very impressive and with the great location, easy to navigate tour, I would recommend this to anyone visiting Åre.

Not very dramatic as the Niagara s, not as historical as Nämnforsen in North of Sweden, but really pleasant to look at as the river separates i a dozen of small water paths with many small grass spots aside, where you can sit, listen to the waters music, looking the waters powerful changing in color.... but all delivered in that specially moderate peacefully way. Take with you some good sandwiches, go that trip about 1000 m from the parking. But never ever leave anything valuable in your car. The spot is highly frequented of burgles! They will leave your car undamaged if there is nothing tograb. In my opinion this spot is one of the 3 best spots to visit in Swedens county of Halland. The other 2 are: Äskhult and the dunes of Tylösand. Enjoy.

It was easy to find the beginning of the trek after following a little gravel path after passing Klövsjö ski resort. The snow was packed on the trek and it was very slippery to walk (we walked with winter boots and sneakers which worked but was far from ideal) but through moving slowly we prevailed! After a couple of minutes of hiking we arrived to a beautiful forest with a creek we from there on followed. Striking mountains rose on both sides of the trek and tall trees framed the sides of the mountain side. We continued on the hike, carefully making our way until we arrived to the grand waterfall. It was a magical sight to see and an awe inspiring end of the trek. Before the waterfall there is a little fireplace perfect when grilling hotdogs or just if one wants to take a break and enjoy fjettjeåfallet. There’s also the opportunity to take a closer look at the fall by heading past the fireplace and look at the fall up close. During wintertime you get even closer to the fall as the snow gets packed and offers a path right up by. All in all a must see if visiting Klövsjö or Vemdalen. The hike is a mere 2k one way. Beautiful, peaceful, and magical!
