Paradise Sprinkler is the highest waterfall on the Balkan Peninsula. The waterfall is located in the central part of Stara Planina at the foot of the peak Botev and both are on the site of the Central Balkan National Park. Paradise Sprinkler is a famous natural landmark and as such attracts tourists from the country and abroad. The waterfall is a suitable destination for lovers of hiking, rock climbing, ecotourism, Paragliding and for all who just love the mountains and fresh mountain air. It is at its fullest during the summer months, so during this period it is most visited by tourists.

We went here after reading the few reviews on here. The cascading waterfall is breathtaking. We went scrambling up and over bridges that don't look sturdy but surprised us all! They're not going anywhere soon! Keep climbing as the views are absolutely worth it. We spent around 2 hours there going up, down and over ladders, following the wall of the canyon. We had a beautiful picnic - there are plenty of places to stop and rest - we chose next to the waterfall before walking and were lucky enough for it to be really quiet. Useful tips: 1. Wear sturdy and good gripping shoes 2. Take a picnic to enjoy 3. Take plenty of water 4. Take swimmers if you fancy a dip 5. Be aware that in places further on in the walk, there is no hand rail so if you are anxious about heights, think about how far you want to go! 6. Rocks can be slippery when wet Whatever you do, go and check out this gem of a place

Superb natural site, reachable by car. An eco path, well maintained is leading to it, iveral it is 4 km long, 3.4 of them can be done by car. The final walk is 600 m only. There is a free parking infront of the walking forest area. There are seating and bbq premises. Worth visiting

From Boyana neighborhood and Boyana church go up in the mountain using the marked green path - about 2 hours or steep ascent along the river for an hour and half. Ask or go with someone local or join the daily tours of Sofia Green Tour
We hiked up to the Boyana Waterfall on our first day in Sofia. The whole trail is within the forest and full of shades. You aren't really bothered with the sun there. We had a bit of trouble finding the start of the trail, as we tried to find the start of the green route. We ended up walking with some people to the left after entering, but that is not the correct way. For Green (easy) just walk straight ahead once you passed the sign on the front. The hike up took about 2 hours, and down about an hour and a half. There are plenty of small rocks so make sure to wear comfy shoes for walking. The easiest way to get to the starting point is to take a cab to the Boyana Church, which costs around 8-10 leva (be aware of "fake" taxis, though. Some try to rip you off with high prices.)

You can park in the road before the turning, or pay 4 leva for the privilege of having someone look after your car for the day OR drive up a bit further the awful road and park there. Then the walk starts...which goes past a few hungry jeep drivers who will offer to take you (for 5 leva we heard) to the ACTUAL beginning of the walk under the canopy of trees. Admittedly the first bit is a bit of a slog, but you could treat it as a warm up. With regular opportunities to stop and take a break with your picnic (take your rubbish home of course) it's a delightful morning's walking. There are steep parts but overall it's relatively straight forward. Recommended! Oh, and it took us 3.5 hours but we weren't in a hurry and had a very long stop at the top.

A car along the Devinska River leads to an unpaid parking lot and then a tourist route through the forest and along the river. to the right of the main line there is an ascent about 500 meters along the eco path and you are at the waterfall. Naturally, the spring water is more and it is good to visit during the months of April and May.

Skokovete" waterfalls were declared a natural wonder in 1965. The ,,Golemia Skok"(The Big Drop) waterfall is located about 2 hours from Maglizh city. After crossing the crystal clear waters of the river several times, the waterfall opens in a unique view. Its height is about 15 m. The ,,Malkia Skok"(The Little Drop) is a fall before the big fall and is a small pool formed by the drop.

Although the Canyon is not maintained well but there's a lot of things to see . First you need to do the research well to find the road to the Canyon but once you find it its a very nice walk . It's a lovely place and peaceful place near the waterfall (I suggest to go early in the morning to avoid more tourist ) . The views from the top of the Canyon is amazing . I recommended this place especially for those that love nature
