Tobu World Square is an architectural museum with skillful reproductions of 102 world-famous buildings on the 1/25 scale, including 46 World Heritage Sites. Open TOBU WORLD SQUARE Station in front of TOBU WORLD SQUARE in next 2017.7.22
The Tobu World Square is a must visit for every person touring Japan. Even though it is about 2+ hours from Tokyo by train, one should not miss this very unique and magnificent "Miniature Museum of the World's most famous monuments" !! This was our only 2nd Miniature Park across the globe. The first one we visited was in Thailand but even though that park too was impressive, it surely pales in comparison to the Tobu World Square. This is one is almost twice in size in terms of space/area as well as in terms of the number of monument that it hosts ! There are supposedly more than 100 monuments on display but we neither had the time or energy or enthusiasm to count the same. The highlight for us was the presence of all the 'Great Seven Wonders of the World" which were just breathtaking. As one of your members too has described so very well that every building, monument, trains, cars, tiny rivers and people were all very well meticulously carved and maintained. In addition to the Urban monuments and buildings, the Tobu Park also showcases fantastic landscape including the beautiful Bonsai Gardens which were perfectly laid out. The Tobu Square is very well spread out and it even has a huge food court and private eating area where vegetarians like us could bring our own food and savor the same. Despite the difficulty in getting to this place, I would like to visit this wonderful place once again if and we visit Japan again. Cheers!
