If you are a fan of Dracula and horror/vampire movies is a no-brainer . Your guide will walk you through the old town explaining the life of the only inhabited fortress in Europe , the place where almost 600 years ago Dracula was born , the legends behind the character of the most famous vampire in the world , churches , towers , bastions and much more , all this after the sun goes down upon the house where the most famous vampire lived for the first 6 years of his life.

George is very knowledgeable and has obviously been to the places on this Transylvania trip. Customized our locations to maximize sights and touring for the time we had and where we wanted to see. Definitely a perfect trip that could have only used a couple tweaks. Watch windy roads if anyone gets car sick, let the driver know if there is anything specific your interested in and take lots of pictures, it will be a trip of a lifetime. Also, expect the guide to sometimes be rushed, we didn't expect to be kind of dropped off quite as much in some locations but we adapted to the area. Some of the best sights you will see and George is a very insightful and knowledgeable guide.

We had a great offroad experience with Carpathian Escapes. Our host Istvan was an amazing driver and guide, giving us all the details of the places we visited. The area is quite amazing (the hills, the views, the people). It was really worth traveling from Bucharest to try this experience.
