Woven with wild greenery and Gaelic legends, the Emerald Isle is one of Europe’s most prized jewels. Rugged Atlantic beaches and mystery-shrouded sites rub shoulders with the cosmopolitan cities of Belfast and Dublin, where literary history and warm Irish hospitality are always in abundance.

Meet your host Gerry and/or his daughter Ciara at New Quay Pier and experience a genuine and entertaining introduction to the world of oysters. Learn how oysters are stored in their seawater tanks with continuous fresh seawater pumped from the ocean just outside their windows. Tour their facilities and hear about the history of their family business. Pick your own oysters and learn how to shuck them from a professional, before you enjoy them with your choice of condiments such as lemon, horseradish or Tabasco sauce. After your tour, feel free to take a few oysters and enjoy them as you walk along the wonderful, scenic Flaggy shore walkway located beside the facility. Please note: Gerry is flexible with timing so if you prefer another time, let him know when you make your booking. In the summer when the sun sets later, you are welcome to start your tour at 5pm and enjoy the sunset on Flaggy Shore after!

Nestled in the West Kerry Gaeltacht (Irish speaking area) and with a spectacular landscape the tour explores, the rich and diverse mixture of its archaeological sites and history, it’s flora and fauna, music and culture and a myriad of other attractions. So much history and great views on this tour. The Gallarus Oratory was one of my favorite stops, but you can also pet a baby lamb and see a filming site from Star Wars Episode VII, Basically something for everyone. Comfortable, warm van and you can leave the driving to Colm and enjoy the views. Even great in the rain!

I loved these tours. Took them back in April of 2019. The first tour I took was a walking tour of Dublin. Ciaran was the tour guide. He was a total history buff and made the tour super interesting. The next day I went on a tour to a seaside village called Howth. I had a tour guide named Stephen. He was very cool and even preformed Shakespeare in the woods for his group. I hope to take these tours again one day.

1st let me say that Ketty was a very interesting person and very knowledgeable. The reason i have only rated this 2 stars is that for the cost of $75 USD we had been treated to very little in the way of foods. The stop for Irish stew was great as we got to sample more than a thimble full of something. That was nice. the other places with the other exception of the oysters where many people opted not to try them was also good. The rest was simply not worth the amount of money the tour cost per person. I would not be able to recommend this tour to anyone unfortunately.
