This was a truly great tour! I had done the Agrodome tour in Rotorua and this wasn't as long as that one but we got a ton more hands on time with the animals. The sheep were so cute and some of them were genuinely friendly, the horses were beautiful and even for a cloudy day, we had a really great view of the south island. Easy day trip (half a day, really) and I would recommend it to local and tourist alike.

We visited in the rain, 2 kids plus me on the 2 hour walking tour. It was great. We spied heaps of bird life, and would have missed lots of info and some sightings without the informative guide. Definitely money well spent, and for an awesome ecological park. Must do (even in the pouring rain)!

The Information Centre was a good facility but we were a bit disappointed that the outside Ecosanctuary areas were not more developed with more special features of interest. Its a nice bush escape from the city for a walk but without further development we unfortunately woulnt visit again.
