10 Walking Tours in Costa Blanca That You Shouldn't Miss

May 12, 2022 Hector Krause

Costa Blanca is the name given to Alicante's coastline in Spain, which stretches over 200 kilometers. It is an incredibly popular holiday destination for tourists, because of the marvelous weather and beaches. Costa Blanca is family friendly, thanks to the huge range of activities available there from beaches and golf to museums and parks. There are the beaches, such as Los Náufragos in Torrevieja with its volleyball nets, golden sands and Blue Flag status, or smaller beaches like Serragrosa with its crystal waters, ideal for swimmers. But there are also golf courses (particularly the Villaitana club de golf near Benidorm) and watersports facilities and cultural sites like museums and galleries, such as the La Asegurada Municipal Museum in Alicante which has extensive collections of Spanish art. You will need a couple of weeks on the Costa Blanca just to scratch the surface of its entertainment potential.

Its July 2020 and covid 19 is still upon us, However, this activity was excellent. We only had one day in Alicante and wanted to make the most of our day rather than wandering around aimlessly. There was no need to worry as all the places we visited were well sanitised everyone has worn masks too . People were so friendly too. Silvina was our personal guide. She really made the whole experience very personal. Her knowledge about the local food and wine was brilliant. It was a day of great food, great wine and fun. Highly recommend this . Thank you Silvina

No visit to the Costa Blanca is complete without a trip to its jewel in the crown, Guadalest. This fortified village perched precariously on a mountain top, is surrounded by some of the highest points in the province of Alicante, the Sierra Aixorta, Sierra Aitana and Sierra Serrella. Enjoy around three hours of free time to explore this beautiful town. This shared guided tour has a duration of 5 hours. The village of Guadalest dates back over a 1000 years and is steeped in history, from the prison and dungeon built in the 12th century to the old washing house used by the local women and has just over 200 inhabitants. Guadalest is probably as well known not only for the symbolic castle but also for the reservoir which serves all main surrounding towns including Benidorm with their water.

It was a lovely surprise to find they had left us a bottle of Cava and Chocolates in our room at the Dynastic!! I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and their day trips look fantastic value. Thank you Heidi look forward to our next booking with you.
