Wow.. just an amazing place to visit, if you are going on you’re own please keep in mind that you need a permit to climb to the pick, only 20 persons allow per windows, to get this special permit from the Adminstracion de Parques Nacionales plan in advance, at least 2 months.. if you stay at the pick sanctuary at the base you can climb by yourself but need to be down by 9:00 am.. recommended to get a turoperador.. it’s easy and safe way to go.. will be back..

Strange volcanic rock formations and spectacular scenery distinguish this park, which surrounds Mount Teide, an active volcano and the highest peak in Spain.

We hired a car and spent the day in Tiede National Park , it's an amazing volcanic landscape with massive rock formations and lava fields and some fantastic views, we stayed until the sun went down .

Volcan Teneguia

Reviewed By PEAtts - Kettering, United Kingdom

Thoroughly enjoyed our volcano trip, interesting display and information in the visitors centre before a little hike along the volcano ridge itself. Definitely glad I had a jacket as it got quite windy up there and the walk can be a little slippery underfoot so trainers at least are a sensible choice. Views from the top are spectacular and worth the walk, not sure the Spanish are so worried about health and safety as I doubt the single rope along the pathway would hold you back if you took a tumble.
