South Africa’s most popular tourist destination offers the urban thrills of Cape Town, its adjacent wine country and an aura of the rich political history of South Africa. The Overberg's perfect whale-watching perches provide excitement of a different nature. The Garden Route's lakes and forests and the Klein Karoo's ostrich-farming towns and vineyards present another take on the Cape. For extra kicks, try bungee jumping or cage-diving among Great Whites.

English Breakfast at the Milkwood Restaurant - 3 min walk from Kennedys. This unique Guesthouse the scenic beauty of Hermanus and the Cape Whale Coast. "When it comes to the combination of utmost privacy, luxury, romance and organic lifestyle - there are very few places on earth as special as KENNEDY'S!" - Mariette du Toit-Helmbold (ex-CEO of Tourism - Cape Town). Villa, tucked away in a Milkwood forest, the ideal hideout promising complete privacy. A unique Honeymooners paradise! Villa - Have a lovely view of the beach from outside balcony - own " little private beach" after passing your own Milkwood Forest! PLEASE NOTE: Due to the natural surroundings and uneven surfaces at Kennedys, "Villa" NOT recommended for elderly people with walking difficulties. The Beach Suite with its sweeping ocean views sunken Jacuzzi on the spacious deck overlooking Beach and fantastic whale watching in season. Also private, but not as exclusively private as villa!
The location and view for this spot was excellent and being pet friendly makes it a unique getaway for the weekend. Service from James was most attentive....almost too much so. We would like to recommend 2 suggestions, namely that a breakfast deal with Milk on the Beach, be included in the package and that an alternative to paying the balance in cash be found. Carrying cash is a huge risk.

Our beautiful farm is nestled in the picturesque Hermitage Valley, and situated just 2km's outside of Swellendam at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains. Our cottages are known for its spectacular views, cleanliness, luxury beds and tranquillity. Abundant outdoor activities and pretty Berry Farms are just a stone throw away. Your hosts The Zaayman Family (Ma Nadia, Pa Spuy, Little Bro Zondagh & Tiny Sis Katryn) would love for you to share our little piece of paradise and stay a while in one of the 4 self-catering cottages on our farm. All cottages are comfortably furnished with all the necessities and you will be glad to know every one of them comes with an outside Braai area. We furthermore appreciate the importance of a good nights rest and all adult beds are equipped with only the best pocket spring mattresses for your sleeping pleasure. All our cottages are fitted with free WIFI for guests that simply can't go without. There are loads to see and do in and around Swellendam, the 3rd oldest town in South Africa (and once declared a Republic of its own!). We really have it all. So if it's just a quick visit passing through, business trip, a weekend away from it all or a long deserved holiday, Hermitage Huisies would love to accommodate all your needs. We have a glorious salt water swimming pool for summer cool off and a wood fired hot tub for winter hire! Three of our cottages come with indoor fireplaces and TV's.
Beautiful surrounds , comfortable sleep arrangements. Lounge/ kitchen small, and not suitable for people with disability/ elderly due to concrete step down from bedroom to toilet. Had a really great time.

We have recently renovated and refurbished a lovely old Manor house into a eight bedroom guesthouse with lovely views and a peaceful and spacious environment. All our bedrooms are en-suite; we have eight bedrooms in the main house and four bedrooms in the cottage. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen and the kitchenette in the cottage. We have a large outdoor pool and pool loungers for guests to use. There are plenty of areas where guests can relax and enjoy their stay!
This was my second time staying at Boutique and it was once again a super pleasant stay, Trish and the staff looked after myself and my colleague as if we were part of their family. It is home away from home.

Anton is terrific and his B&B is very homely. Breakfast was especially good and helpfully pointed us in the direction of a good restaurant in the evening. My only criticism was that the shower wasn't amazing but apart from that all good.

We are situated just 5min walk away from the 6km long Brenton beach which has had Blue Flag status for the past 3 years.
Wow! My expectations were exceeded! The hospitality we received from Derrick was amazing, everyday we were treated with suggestions for things to do in and around Knysna especially since it was our first time visiting Knysna! The rooms were very spacious, and man what a view!! Staying in Brenton was the best decision I have made in a long time, the sunrises were beautiful, it got dark quite late so we took our son for bike rides every night. I felt safe in the area. Thank you for being so accommodating with regards to our little one as well!

Nestled in a wine estate dating from 1702, the luxurious Meerendal Boutique Hotel is just 25 minutes’ drive from the V&A Waterfront. It is surrounded by vineyards and has a restaurant and free Wi-Fi. Featuring views over the surrounding greenery, all the rooms at the Meerendal are decorated with stylish furniture and wooden floors. They all include a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Some rooms are equipped with an espresso machine, and some have a tea-and-coffee making facilities. Guests can enjoy the wine tasting sessions offered by the estate. The staff can help them to organize activities such as mountain biking. The Meerendal is in the Cape Winelands, 30 minutes’ drive from Cape Town International Airport. The nearest beaches are 20 km away. We speak your language!
Sadly the experience at the Meerendal Hotel was very disappointing. On arrival, there was ZERO service and hospitality. Not even a welcome. Just a key hand over with no explanation of where your room is, breakfast, etc. After coming back to the hotel after a wedding, the security guard completely ignored us and wouldn’t open up for us - he could see we were struggling with the remote and wouldn’t assist at all. He was rude and unhelpful. This was unacceptable. We thought the gate would open with our remote but apparently it’s a panic button. Something we didn’t know and the staff never communicated on arrival!!! Breakfast was included but you couldn’t spend over R110. So essentially if you are ordering a breakfast, coffee and juice, you are going to have to pay in. For what you pay, this was a waste. I won’t not recommend this hotel.
