One of Poland’s most beautiful cities, Gdansk, on the Baltic Sea, has played major roles in history, especially in the 20th-century. It was the 1939 flash point of World War II, and then in 1980, the birthplace of the Solidarnosc labor movement, ushering the end of Communist domination in Eastern Europe. Gdansk’s Old Town, painstakingly reconstructed to its Hanseatic League glory after being leveled in World War II, is a highlight. The 14th-century Town Hall houses the city’s historical museum.

We have just had the pleasure of staying in a very well run establishment known as the Villa Anna, the rooms were spotless and very well set out with modern bathrooms, we also were lucky because Anna herself was running the place during our stay. The hotel is close to the tram stop [5 minutes walk] and only 3 stops into Gdansk, the breakfast at about £5 was very good value, there are no bars nearby but there is a convenience store close by. I would definitely recommend the Villa Anna to anybody visiting the beautiful city of Gdansk, thanks again to Anna and the staff for looking after us during our stay

The whole accommodation is immaculately presented inside and out, very comfortable beds and hot powerful showers. The breakfast was lovely and the cooked to order omelets hit the spot nicely. The owners are very welcoming and will do everything they can to help make your stay enjoyable. We would definitely return to this property when we return to Gdansk. The immediate area is mainly residential and some of the properties close by could do with some TLC but don’t let this put you off, it’s a lovely quiet area and only a 15 to 20 mins walk to the city centre.

Nice hotel, I really enjoyed my stay there. It is some while ago that I stayed there but if the place has not changed management I am pretty sure it still had the same standards. Excellent breakfast, very friendly owner.

Feel like home in this magical and relaxing place. I book the smallest room, but it was an amazing room, cozy, stylish and comfortable, I love the atmosphere and the soul of the place, very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was really good and full of delicious food. Hosts are friendly and very kind. Really close to the beach. This place is more than I was expecting. Very recommended.

Guesthouse Willa "Bliska” is located just four kilometers from the Old Town.We are easily accessible by bus from the train station (lines number 167, 168) or by taxi from the airport in Rębiechowo. The journey takes only 12 - 15 minutes. Our guesthouse is brand-new and comfortable. Once you visit us and indulge in friendly service and delicious breakfast, you will surely come back again.
All very fine and dandy, but the WiFi didn’t reach to room 3, which is a problem when one needs to use it and WiFi provision is advertised. Nice and clean, just a 10 minute taxi to town. Oh, couldn’t get TV to work either.

Villa ALFA is located just five kilometers from the centre of Gdansk. The house is situated on a moraine hill, in a quiet and picturesque part of the city, where everything is near - a trip by bus from railway stations or by taxi from the Lech Walesa Airport in Rebiechowo takes only 12 - 15 minutes. Our facility is new and comfortably equipped. Friendly service and delicious breakfasts make the one who visits us want to return to this place again. We offer single, double and triple rooms. All they have a private bathroom and are equipped with television and telephone. Broadband and wireless internet connections are available anywhere in our pension. We provide a private car park for our motorized guests, which is monitored around the clock.
My first visit was very satisfying, not over priced like all other hotels in the area. A comfortable bed, polite staff, bathroom was spotless as the cleaners kept it all tidy and organised through my visit. I will definitely come back.

Between 30 and 40 Zts for a tax ride from the airport. Ideally for a reasonably priced stopover for Gdansk Airport - especially if your flight is early morning. It is in the village of Osowa, which in turn is on side roads from the airport. So no traffic to worry about, whatever time your flight. Owner spoke German, Polish and quite reasonable English and arranged a taxi to collect me at 4am. The booking system was most reliable and the taxi duly arrived on time. The driver demonstrated the call and booking system. Once a request is received, it is in the system and should there be a probem with the designated driver, another can easily pick up the traveller. Hotel is simple, rooms adequate, but no shampoo etc., provided in the bathroom. However this was all I required for a short night stopover. There is a pleasant small restaurant within short walking distance of the hotel, that is very reasonably priced. Also a 'corner shop or Skleb' just on the main road in front of the hotel. There is a communal 'kettle' on the landings that enabled guests to make their own coffee etc. Most welcome in the early hours of the morning, before departure. Pleasantly surprised and quite enjoyed my one night stopover. A Polish friend booked the room in advance for me, which I would recommend to fellow travellers.
