Nestled among characteristic Galician 'Aldeas' (villages), Lar da Mota is a 16th century farmhouse restored into a Boutique Hotel with 10 contemporary guest rooms whilst still retaining many of its original features, natural stone walls and rustic charm. The Hotel is located on the outskirts of Arzúa (6 kms) along both the French and Northern Routes of the ‘Camino de Santiago’ (Trail of Saint James) surrounded by plush meadows, valleys and characteristic Galician ‘Aldeas’ (villages).
This is a wonderful hotel! The staff is incredible. They go out of their way to ensure everyone has a great experience. The rooms are very well decorated. The food is delicious! The chef is very accommodating to food preferences and allergies.

Our Cottage offers the opportunity to enjoy five double bedrooms with double beds and service restoration with local produce and a selection of wines from the appellations of origin of Galicia.
This casa is peaceful and lovely. It is located on a winding rural road and has a quiet stream burbling through the property. Our two story room was cozy and warm --- although it was raining and cloudy outside, a crackling fire burned in the stove inside. Good wifi and a nice breakfast. A good place for a deep night of sleep. Close to town, where you can find good seafood restaurants, so no need to eat here unless you prefer to.

Staff at the property can provide information about the area. You can go hiking in the area, with the Careón Mountains and the Ulla, Pambre and Ferreira rivers nearby. Guests can also store their bicycles at the apartments for free. Santiago de Compostela is 70 km away, and Lugo can be reached in a 20-minute drive. Recommended for families and groups of friends.
Our apartment was a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment with living room, kitchen with a clothes washer (no dryer...but you can hang clothes to dry on the balcony). Wonderful. Everything was very clean. It was not far from the Camino route (maybe a 7 minute walk). The only issue is that the water temperature was difficult to regulate. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Although a little over the general budget of camino walkers this is a brilliant stop with fabulous rooms, plush and rich with thick caprets, squashy beds and doonas.... we loved our night here and the dinner was delicious. We arrived with a wedding on and so were also entertained by the band who sang Spainsh songs with australian influence. Lovely property. if you want to use the spa / sauna you have to let them know when you book as it takes a little time to heat up. thanks

We stayed a various Pazos while we walked the Camino Frances, this was the most amazing and hospitable destination of all that we stayed at, we decided to stay 2 nights. Our hosts Juan and Raquel were very knowledgable and made our stay very special. The Pazo and its rolling gardens held surprises at every turn. The food specially prepared by the resident chef. Every meal was a treat. Every bedroom has a unique theme. The common lounges, covered terraces and garden seating coves are timeless. We will definitely go back.

We book a Deluxe Room with separated beds and we got a wedding bed of 1,35m... so... where is the “deluxe description”? When asking for a solution they said it werent their responsability and in few words... “get lost”... I arrived wet because it was raining cats and dogs... I asked please the posibility to get dry but they said I was supossed to enter at 15h... no flexibility... people there very rude and angry... its not a 180 eur room... nor deluxe definition... a shame... 0 emphaty...

We were booked here as part of a package on the Camino walk. This included half board (breakfast & dinner). Alicia, was very helpful, though communication was difficult as she spoke little English. She tried her best to help us in things like laundry and breakfast. The room furnishing is rather old. One of our party had a bathroom where the shower squirted in all directions, wetting everything. Dinner turned out to be “takeaway” food. Not very tasty. This accommodation is more suited for self catering rather than as half-board stay.
