The Tourist Information Office in Valldal centre is open all-year-round. During the high season (medio June - August) the office is open from 10.00 - 19.00. During the rest of the year it is open from Monday - Friday 10.00 - 17.00. Toilet facilities are available at the Tourist Information Offices (also for wheelchair users), there are also showers, washing machines, dryers and baby changing facilities.

The Visitor Centre, Hardangervidda National Park has a large award-winning interactive exhibition about the wild reindeer and the nature of Hardangervidda in 10 languages. Balestrand Tourist Information is centrally located by the harbour in Balestrand. The office is open May - September. Here you can buy tickets for day tours, and for the express boat.
