Golden palaces, floating markets, majestic porcelain-laid spires…you've never seen a capital city quite like Bangkok. Visit Pratunam or Siam Square for premium shopping, then unwind in the European-style gardens of Dusit. Thon Buri is home to the awesome Wat Arun temple, and over in Phra Nakhon, you’ll find the Wat Pho temple of the Reclining Buddha. Also of architectural interest, has art gallery and cafe and lots of events happening throughout the year.
If you are in the Silom area this is certainly a place you should pop into. The building, almost 100 years old, is in itself interesting. But it is also a normally functioning library. The coffee shop in the courtyard has good coffee and croissants. Since this is an enterprise fully run by volunteers and relying on donations it is something worthy of our support. The collection consists of books in English on a wide variety of topics. They also accept donations of book collections in other languages, which are then sold at regular intervals or otherwise distributed. Some times there are concerts in the auditorium.

Bangkok is well one in every of the best transport hubs within the world. It extremely seems like it belongs in a sci-fi movie. Actually, Bangkok’s international airport has such a unique style that in 2012 it became the foremost photographed place within the world on Instagram. everybody desires an image of the capital of Thailand field, with its long hollow corridors made of glass and steel.
After a 17 hour flight, the last thing we wanted to be bothered with was navigating BKK to get a taxi. I’ll say this, a taxi to hotel in Sukhumvit was about 500 baht, our ride with taxi well was $37 USD. I had some trouble finding my driver (pretty sure I was on the wrong level) and I called the contact number on the website using WhatsApp. The man spoke pretty good English and guided me where to go. That was helpful. The driver helped with our bags, comfortable air conditioned car and it was all very simple. We paid online one day before we arrived. They email a receipt and instructions. These people aren’t hard to contact if things go wrong. Thanks so much!
