Chris was our guide and was not only knowledgeable but also passionate about his homeland. Itinerary got a little messed up (NOT Chris’ fault - roads washed out or under water) but thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. If I travel to Wales again I will absolutely be calling Chris for a new adventure.

I came on the Castles, Mountains & More tour with my family and we all had a fantastic day. Our guide really knew his stuff and gave us lots of interesting information about all the places we visited. The tour was well planned and we got to see a lot in one day, including castles, the Brecon Beacons and the town of Brecon itself. Thanks to Roam Wales for giving us a day to remember!

We spotted a few signs for the distillery whilst we were in the area so thought we would check it out. We had a great time talking to Patrick and bought a couple of bottles of gin whilst we were there. Would definitely go back and have already recommended it to friends and family.

Our seasoned river guides will meet you at the famous paddle sports spot Mile End Mill, Llangollen. Here you will be supplied and instructed on how to get into our high-quality equipment in the nearby changing rooms. From here you will venture to our start point at Horseshoe Falls, where you will receive a safety brief and instructions on how to move most efficiently. Then it’s onto the good stuff, once on the water and after some proof that you can float, we will head down the twisting and winding rapids of the River Dee. There are three major rapids on our route to which our guides will be on hand to steer you through. The most famous is Serpents Tail, a tick off for most aspiring white water enthusiasts. There will be challenges and team-building tasks on the way down the river. With our charismatic staff, smiles are never absent by the end. We end up back at the Mile End Mill which gives you a chance to get changed and grab a cuppa before your departure.

Inclusions: Wet suit & west suit socks, Safety equipment - Helmet, Buoyancy aid, River tubing

My first trip with Bearded Men was an unexpected raft trip last night. They found me stranded on the beach opposite Mile End Mill, after I had capsized and bailed when kayaking. They could have quite easily left me to sort myself out, but instead gave me a ferry ride back across the river, so I could be reunited with my paddler friends and boat. Outstandingly helpful. Great guys, highly recommended!
