What is most striking about the Masai Mara, a massive game reserve in Kenya, is the sheer amount of wildlife roaming its grassy plains. Hundreds, sometimes thousands, of animals dot the landscape, from elephants and lions, to cheetahs, giraffes and the always cranky wildebeest. Join this 6-night tour to explore Kenya's most famous National Reserve.

My wife and I called Freddy, the owner, a day before we wanted to go on the safari during our stay in Mombasa. Freddy listened to our requests and called back 15 minutes later with a full four day itinerary. We took the “risk”, and met him and one of his guides Abdul at 08:00 the next morning. Greeted by friendly faces, we got on the safari van and started our trip. The van itself was air conditioned, although we never used it once due to wonderful weather and open windows. The lodges we stayed at were remarkable and very romantic, and got greeted by a cold towel and fresh juice at every check IV we did. Moreover, in every room we got to there was a welcomed surprise of wine and a letter congratulating us on our fresh marriage. Freddy and Abdul took care of that before we reached any lodge. For 15 mins of preparation, the night before, it seems like they preformed magic! Now a few words about Abdul.. Not only did he know his animals and the bush better than any of the other safari drivers of the other groups we met (we talked to people at the lodges), everyday he spotted for us the rarest of animals and was the one to alert all the other drivers around over the radio. Usually they got there too late. After a few hours with him, we were friends. I can honestly say that after the four days were over, we were as sad as parting from a family member. Awesome experience, we got everything we wanted and more for a very reasonable price.

This is not really a tour I have made with them, but one I cancelled. We have been talking for 3 weeks about my stop in Nairobi while traveling to Uganda, and they agreed for a city tour and Nairobi National Park for 76 USD, as it appeared here. First they tried to make me pay in advance, but I told them my dates were different and I would send the details. Luckily I didn't pay beforehand. I sent them the details of my flight, but there was no one when I went out of the terminal. I had an email asking more details of my flight, so that they knew the terminal. A taxi driver agreed to call them, and when I gave them the details, they tell me that, since I am traveling alone, the fare won't be 76 USD but 100 USD. It is not a great difference, but you can't be discussing the tour for 3 weeks, and once landed change the price of it. I simply refused, and the taxi driver agreed to make the same tour for that same fare.

The accommodations, food, and general treatment provided by this horrible company were horrific to say the least. None of the list of accommodations were ever fulfilled and places we were promised to visit were never fulfilled. The food was all but inedible. The vehicles were so old and beat up that there virtually was no padding or support in the seats. Our trip was scuttled 2/3 of the way through and the company refused to refund us for money that we lost because of their negligence. This is but a scant overview of what can be expected. Buyer beware. Any good reviews of this company most likely came from them not anyone who paid for their services. They are scam artists.

Our tour guide picked us up right on time and took us through Nairobi National Park for about for about 6 hours. We saw tons of amazing wildlife. We enjoyed the experience and our tour guide was just excited as we were, pointing at different animals, stopping and giving us the history. It was amazing to see the skyscrapers of Nairobi city right from the National Park. Later we returned to our hotel and the same driver, Elijah picked early in the morning for a safari to Amboseli National Park. It was amazing, seeing the peak of Mt Kilimanjaro covered with snow right from our lodge . The game drive at Amboseli was amazing too. We hope we can return to Kenya again in future. Many thanks to Romana and her team for making our experience a memorable one.
