For this morning adventure,1st stop - Te Mata Peak. The summit provides stunning 360-degree views across Hawke’s Bay and in the morning, with the sun behind us, we can usually see all the way west to Mt Ruapehu, the North Island’s highest mountain. Bring a camera because the views are incredible! From the Peak, we head to 2 premium wineries where you’ll taste some of Hawke’s Bay’s finest wines. Between wineries, we’ll take you across the fertile Heretaunga Plain, the district known around the country as ‘The Fruit Bowl of New Zealand’. Picturesque orchard, vineyard and rolling farm country will be our backdrop before we arrive for lunch at one of the region’s finest winery restaurants.

We take you (and your bike) out to Havelock North to the starting point of your journey at Black Barn Vineyard. This trail cycles past 6 award-winning wineries along a 16km stretch of easy and scenic cycle pathways. We pick you up at the Cape for a transfer back to the start. A truly memorable experience enjoying the best wineries of Hawke's Bay on a bike! The Twilight Progressive Winery Tour is your chance to dine at 3 of the world class restaurants and enjoy the very best wines of Hawke's Bay all in one memorable evening. A typical twilight tour includes stops at Craggy Range, Mission Estate & Elephant Hill or Urban Winery. As well as sunset views at the top of Te Mata Peak - on the peak you will find out first hand what makes it the regions #1 sightseeing destination. You will travel with like-minded visitors from NZ and overseas and we guarantee you will have fun, learn about Hawke's Bay and taste some of the best food & wine in New Zealand. Enjoy a flat, easy, scenic 26km (16 mile) ride following beautiful Hawke’s Bay coast on a wonderful off-road cycle trail. The trail passes through the Clive Wetlands and along scenic riverbanks, home to many species of birds. At the end of the trail, there are a selection of wineries where you can enjoy wine tasting and/or lunch, before your shuttle arrives to transport you back to Napier. This trail is 95% off-road, with just 1.5km on a quiet, beach, community road. This is a self-guided bike ride. Please check with us opening times of the wineries as that varies thru the seasons. Return shuttle generally departs Elephant Hill Winery at 4pm although this may very please enquire for specific date.

Visit the wineries of Hawke’s Bay at your own pace on this self-guided bike tour. Collect your bike and spin through the vineyards along the Hawke’s Bay wine route at your leisure. Follow the map provided or simply take your pick of the wineries you find. Visit wineries such as  Abbey Cellars, Alpha Domus, the Ngatarawa Estate, the Sileni Estate, Te Awa, or Trinity Hill (own expense), and perhaps sample some of the diverse wines in production. This independent cycling tour includes all equipment and roadside support.
