The full day trip turned out to be 3.5 hour! The tour guide knew very little about history of Stone Town or the Prison Island. I really regret booking this tour before getting to Zanzibar. You can find a better selection of tours for much better prices when in town!!

Amazing bucket list vacation with an amazing company. We went on an 6 day safari with guide Chris. Saw every animal, stayed in great accommodations, ate wonderful food and had the time of our lives. Could not recommend Kilisa's safari more. Following our safari, we embarked upon a Kilimanjaro trek along the 7 day Lemosho route with guides Rama and Bacari and crew. Everyone was so FRIENDLY and catered to our every need (lots of needs at 15k+ feet). We successfully summited and don't think we would have without the Kilisa team looking after us. Unforgettable trip that really lifted our spirits after no traveling due to global pandemic. Everyone in Tanzania is kind, warm and welcoming. The team at Kilisa is no exception. Please consider Kilisa and guides Chris, Rama and Bacari on your safari and trek!

Our last minute, 8 night safari at the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater area couldn’t have been better! Brian was attentive from the moment I sent my first email to Staajabu Travel. He was originally scheduled to provide a guide for our full day game drives at the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro crater, as well as providing transport from the Serengeti to the Gibbs Farm, near the Ngorongoro crater. But as flights canceled, Brian made recommendations, and rerouted us to make sure we were able to maximize our time in the parks. When we landed at Kilimanjaro airport we were greeted by Brian and our incredible guide, Freddy. Instead of catching our flight the next day from Arusha to the Serengeti, as it canceled at the last minute, we decided to drive. 7 hours one way, breaking it up with an overnight in Karutu. It was an excellent way to get a jump start on our trip, see the beautiful country and avoid any other potential travel disruptions. We spent six full days on safari with our guide Freddy and we learned so much! He was an absolute joy! Brian handled every curve ball that was thrown at us, and even coordinated the Covid test that was required for our return trip through Kenya. We enjoyed our stay at the Four Seasons and Gibbs Farm and would highly recommend working with Staajabu travel for all of your Tanzania travel needs!

I had a great day with Reuben at the local market, waterfalls, and at "The Small Things" office in Usa River region. It was a great way of combining support for local communities and tourism. The market is absolutely a must, and in my opinion best to go with a local, not because it is not safe, but because you can be offered everything at every corner so it could be a bit overwhelming without a local speaking swahili. This was one of the best experiences during my holiday and Reuben was great because he really knew where to find what i wanted, and also at a "local" price. The waterfall tour was also great, we walked through the "banana village" (loads of banana trees) to reach the falls and it was really fantastic and not too hard for those that don't like to walk too much. Everything was great, Reuben was always on time, always responding quickly to my requests on whatsapp, the guides he hired very professional, food served great. overall a fantastic experience (again, don't miss the market, i got a tailor made shirt with african textiles, was amazing to see the tailor in action) After the market we visited The Small Things office and its school/dormitories. It is a great organization with a very unique goal of returning kids to their families, so they see residential care as a temporary solution which i found very interesting. There is a lot more that they do so I encourage you to check on their website or - better - spend a day with Reuben who will explain very well and also engage you in their mission. Thanks a lot to The Small Things and Reuben for the great day and for helping their communities with the revenues from the tours!

It's fascinating to explore historic Stone Town - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - but it's easy to lose your way in the area's maze-like, narrow streets. To stay oriented and ensure you don't miss key highlights, join a private guide with deep knowledge of local history, cultural heritage and architecture. It's fully personalized to your preferences, whether you're shopping for local textiles, interested in history, knowing about everyday life, or learning about Stone Town's unique architecture!

Inclusions: Entrance fees/tickets to the old slave market site, Professional tour guide, Pick up from Stone town hotels: (Please request and send us a message in advance)

I just returned from a 5 day safari with Meru Slope Tours traveling to Tarangire, Serengeti, and the Ngorogoro crater. What an experience! Communication was excellent, always responded quickly to any questions that I had, and a staff member was waiting on my at the airport. Service was excellent and really exceeded my expectations. My guide, Ashley, could not have been better! His experience and knowledge allowed me to see and witness things that most may not ever get to see. I witnessed drivers from other companies cut others off and get too close to the animals, making them uncomfortable. Fortunately my guide, nor any of the other Meru slope tours drivers, ever tried to get too close or cut anyone off. Serengeti was by far my favorite! But the other places were awesome as well! I did not want to leave! But I hope to return someday soon and will definitely use Meru slope Tours again!

Safaris represent a very special experience and it was great to feel you can just seat back and let the experts plan the very best for you. Safari Soles were recommended to me by a friend that went on a Safari with them in January, so when I decided to also go on a Safari in April, I got in contact with them. From that first contact communication went very smooth, Bryson was very attentive to my requests and, through his experience, helped to shape the itinerary of the Safari, as to maximize the experience. I received his support when booking the accommodation in Arusha, for the beginning and end of our Safari, after having my sights set on the Rivertrees Country Inn. He helped us obtain the best rates per night, better than what was offered through booking.com and also a lot more flexible. And this flexibility really came in handy after having our arrival flight to Kilimanjaro airport delayed and couldn't leave towards Ngorongoro National Park, the same day, as planned, since our accommodation was inside the park, and we weren't able to reach it before the closign of the park gates. So, on a very short notice, Bryson saved the day :) - we went directly to the Rivertrees Country Inn and started the Safari the next day. He could arrange so that we could go first to Serengeti and then to Ngorongoro, and changed the accommodation date for Ngorongoro. I don't know what we would have done, if we were to have booked the accommodation by ourselves. Also, I need to say that Safari Soles's prices are really good compared to other Safari companies. I was in contact with other Safari companies as well, but their prices were significantly higher. Bryson even helped us do a balloon Safari in Serengeti, after deciding to go for this experience from one day to another. Our guide and driver, David Simba, was very knowledgeable and we could find out a lot of interesting infos about the wildlife; also, he's a nice guy to be around, we felt safe with him and he organized the best lunches for us in the park. So Safari Soles is a great team, you really feel you receive support from them when needed, and they go that extra mile to make sure the experience is one of a kind. Definitely recommend them!
