Fi-Fi was amazing and so fun! My teenagers loved her! We would not have managed to fit everything into one day, or have figured out the transportation on our own. The arrangements were smooth and painless. Our guide and drivers were on time and very knowledgable. We were at the panda base early and managed to spend almost an hour alone with one panda who showed off for us. Fi-Fi managed to navigate us to the best spots at the park and we were out of here before it got too busy. The Leshan Buddha was awe inspiring, but I enjoyed the train trip seeing some chinese country side even more.

Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, is a city you never want to leave once you arrive. Reputed as a very “laid-back” city, it is so large and diverse abounding with options. You could visit the giant pandas, and support the efforts towards ensuring the survival of Chengdu iconic but endangered species. Or, you could take in other historic legacies, like Jinli Old Street, Wenshu Temple, Three Kingdoms-era Wuhou Temple, the more recent Ming-Qing neighborhoods of the Kuan-Zhai Alley, or the ancient and still-operational Dujiangyan Irrigation System.

+ Started in the morning from chengdu, visited the giant Buddha by using the boats. Chilled walkthrough in some hidden streets and end of the day harvested some green tea and learned how to cook and dry. It was a really nice experience to see in detail how to win tea and talk directly to the farmer about their business and the learn about their life story. Our Tourguide Sheldon was very young but shared a lot of facts during the hole trip. He was friendly and helpfully by everything. So we really enjoyed just to follow him and not to care about driving, paying or organizing something what can be easily a bit stressfully in china. -I am only a bit disappointed that we still have 130 air pollution values. Thought will be better outside from Chengdu

We did the half day Chendu Back Alley Foodie tour. Lance was our guide and he was very knowledgeable about different foods, bringing us to spice market, tea house and wrapping it up with the best hotpot ever. I would highly recommend any activity he is in charge of, as he knows his stuff. He a really funny guy and was very patient with us, especially because one of us was moving along slowly. Sorry for the late review, buddy!

My partner and I went on the first four day tour of Chengdu. Our excellent guide Olivia brought us to a range of authentic eateries that we would never have found ourselves as well as a visit to the pandas, an old tea house, a tea farm and the giant Buddha. Usually tours pad things out but this was enjoyable (and tasty especially if you like it spicy) throughout, thoroughly off the beaten track, and Olivia was a joy to spend time with.

Worley was a great guide who took us to at least four major tourist attractions in Chengdu in four hours from pickup to our hotel at the W and back. She is very knowledgeable including history of religions, architecture, and is a big panda fan. The tour was not the typical bike ride we are used to where we stayed on bikes the majority of the time. We took the metro and walked around the places we visited on this tour and probably traveled on bike for about 10 km. It was a wonderful introduction of the city that allowed us to see Wenshu Monastery, Kuanzhai Alley, People’s Park, and Qingyang Palace. We were pressed on time otherwise Worley would’ve spent more time in the locations. Thank you, Worley, for the great tour!
