I led a retreat for a week at Minuvida and this venue is amazing! Rimi and Joao are the kindest and most knowledgeable hosts on each of the excursions they take us on. The food they provide us with is amazing and their restaurant recommendations are perfect. It's such a peaceful place to be, we love the animals on the property. Definitely stay at Quinta Minuvida for your next trip to Sao Miguel!!

Artur was the friendliest guide you can imagine! I highly recommend the tour to Nordeste, with lots of stops at cool spots, beautiful viewpoints, parks etc. If you're looking for some time away from the crowds at P.D. + want to experience the rural/more native Azores: go north!

My wife and I had a wonderful day trip with Denis in which we visited most of the main viewpoints of Sao Miguel. From the very begining, it's clear that he knows the island like the back of his hand; he took us to one of few quiet hotsprings near caldera velha and showed us spectacular sights which seemed to be off the beaten track. He also drove all the way from Ponta Delgada to pick us up in Furnas. If you want to avoid the crowds and are only spending a few days in Sao Miguel, Denis is your man.
Enjoy a 3-hour circular hike that takes you through a native Azorean forest to a spectacular waterfall where you can stop and swim.
