We booked a private tour off a cruise and Slava our guide was really accomodating with us being an hour late off the ship. Obviously we had to rearrange our sightseeing but Slava was great at making sure we saw what interested us with added extras. Saw lovely waterfalls, Kerikeri Mission house, chocolate factory and more. A very enjoyable time with a knowledgeable guide. Can highly recommend this tour!

Whether you have one day or weeks in Whangarei, this is the single best day tour available. It is like nothing else we have done in New Zealand, and we’ve been here for months. It is not a performance, it is a personal invitation into the Harding family’s home where you experience an intimate view of the culture, history and cuisine of the Northland Maori people. They are the loveliest people, and we discussed politics, history, culture and exchanged funny stories. When they say you leave as family they are not exaggerating. We did the whole day tour and it was worth every minute and every penny. Our son loved listening to the stories just as much as we did, but he also played happily with their children. We will never forget it and can’t recommend it enough.

My daughter organised this trip for my Christmas present. We booked the tour at the last minute to make the most of the weather and other activities we wanted to do in the north. We were well accommodated, our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. We really appreciated that the tour went ahead given the current climate for tourism. A great variety of venues on this tour.

We only take 10 guests and offer a unique personal experience with 20 years taking guests on our beautiful live-aboard yacht and we still love it!! We share our passion for what we do and love meeting people from all over the world and sharing stories from our travels and lifestyle. We have sailed to many countries on many different boats, so come along and hear the tales of adventures far and wide. We raised our son on the boat while sailing from the Caribbean and throughout the South Pacific and New Zealand for many years.

Superb small group trip on The Phantom. Rick, Robin and Jack were great hosts with many stories to tell of their sailing adventures. We saw dolphins and it was great to actually sail with the motor off. The area is so full of history as well. Lunch was delicious and home baked, although with the number of hungry boys on board it was perhaps a little light. You can byo your own drinks if you like. Anyway, highly recommended and so much nicer than the bigger commercial operators. An awesome day out on a real yacht!
