I had a great ride with Ayoub, and later, another employee, Anas, joined us when he was taking out another horse for a ride. Both guides were really friendly, and we had great chats. When they learned that I was into nature, they pointed out to different trees and plants and told me how it’s used, harvested, etc. The area of the island has the best sunset. They volunteered to take pictures and were gifted photographers. I’m planning on going back for another ride but with a Camel, this time.

Initially I've booked a night tour to the Sahara dessert with Depart Travels, however faith has led this trip to be cancelled due to some technical errors. Instead of turning me down, Aymen has asked me what are on my wish list and has tailor made a trip proposal all for me privately. It wasn't a regret going on this trip. Ive set my expectation to be an average standards, however with the help of Aymen and the friendly locals, who Aymen has arranged for me to meet, have made me experience one of the best adventure I've ever done. Aymen himself drove me and explained each cities and villages we went to. Even after the trip of the day has ended, unlike any other guides who will just abandon you at your hotel, Aymen has invited me out for a beer and to chill the nights. He is a really kind and knowledgable man. I have done everything I've wanted and perhaps more thanks to Depart Travels. I highly recommend people to this agency and especially a tour with Aymen himself. Ps: He is an exceptional driver, especially on the off road dunes of the desert.

I had an amazing dive experience with La Sirène. It's a family business: Youssef and Wadia in particular are vastly experienced (over 20,000 dives combined in Djerba alone) and the rest of the family and crew are just great people in general. I had to come back, and ended up completing 12 dives and my Nitrox course with them. Discover scuba diving courses are very professionally done in a nearby reef, in around 6m of water which is great for beginners. There are plenty of WW2 wrecks offshore (sunk in combat) and one has three small tanks nearby which was a huge bonus. Overall they're great value for money and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to dive in Djerba in future.

It is a garrison boat of the 2nd World War which made a route from Libya to Tunisia, it is about 40m long, a third of which is silted up. It rests on a bottom of 20m maximum. A beautiful 2h30 walk through the slopes lined with prickly pears, aloes vera and algaves to discover the typical Djerbian villages, the other facade of the island away from hotels and tourists. You will join the beautiful lagoon that you will cross with your mounts. There we will offer drinks and snacks at the edge of the water during a short break. Then we will take the road through the countryside, where shepherds graze their herds admiring the sun that sets over the palm trees and olive trees and finally we will return to the ranch by the beach! This ride is suitable for all levels. Change of scenery guaranteed!
