We had to cancel our excursion on 5/28/2020 because of the pandemic. I have requested a refund as per their policy, but they will not answer my calls or respond to my 4 emails. I know this is a difficult time, but they should at least acknowledge my requests. I have received refunds from all other excursions we had booked. I booked this per TripAdvisor recommendation.

I was initially sceptical about truffles but am now a convert! The evening consists of: - A fascinating talk from Johann about his farm's history, the truffle industry and how to avoid tourist scam products - Meeting the dogs and their local owner - The truffle hunt (the dogs sniff out the truffles and you dig them up) - Walk and talk around the rest of the grounds (including the beehives) - Tasting menu (lots of exceptional sharing dishes with fresh truffles and drinks) - Opportunity to buy some products Johann was a superb host - informative, charming, funny, attentive and very impressive at managing some very energetic children without compromising the experience for adults. There's parking on site, and I doubt most people would need a meal afterwards, as the tasting menu was very filling.

Our group consisted of Johann (the host), Jean-Marc (a very skilled local player) and his delightful children (prodigies in the making). There was plenty of free parking near the site, and we were very warmly welcomed. Johann was an informative and entertaining host/translator, Jean-Marc showed us some impressive skills, and the children were impeccably behaved. The group are clearly very close-knit, and we felt very included. We picked up the game really quickly, and even managed a rare victory over Jean-Marc! During breaks, everyone snacked from a picnic hamper of food and drink including bread, home-made tapenades / pastis, mint syrup, water Although we were initially a little sceptical about the price when we were booking, the food, drink and fun experience made it well worth the money.

Hike the hills of the Luberon in the wild, natural spring and fossils from 20 million years ago, when this part of Provence was underwater. This beautiful nature walk, you will learn to recognize fossils, identify wild herbs growing naturally in the countryside and drink homemade Pastis mixed with water from a natural spring, like a Provencal native straight out of a Peter Mayle novel .. We'll show you lingering evidence of the first humans in the region, from nearly 130,000 years ago. After the hike, you will have a beautiful fish pond in the countryside, where a table will be waiting for you with a traditional aperitif (rosé and red wine, homemade Provencal pâté, tapenade, mushrooms, etc.) and great stories . Because we are in the Luberon National Park, we regret that we can not allow guests to take up ancient fossils from the site. Photos, however, are encouraged!

This is a review about our experience "so far" with Christopher and Ooh Provence. A number of months ago, as usual, I did extensive research and found a photographer and I contacted him to see about a photo experience while in Marseille. He responded immediately and then told me about his tour company which extends beyond just photography. It was perfect...a guide that could help 2 amateur photographers get some unique shots in a great city plus learn about the history at the same time. I find this is a great way to explore a city. So, of course ,I booked and paid the deposit etc. and we confirmed our date. Then along came Covid 19 and I finally had to cancel .This company offers full refund up to 24 hours in advance of tour and Christopher had no problem with an immediate refund. I will add that is not the case with some hotels etc. I am so impressed with the customer service under very extraordinary circumstances and will definitely book with Ooh Provence in the future when we can return post Covid. Based on my experience so far I am sure we will have a great time touring Marseille and the surrounding area with Christopher. I often find the true test of a good travel company is how they handle unexpected problems and can be flexible. Christopher delivers on this for sure!!
