Hop on Hop off at 11 stops in Kiel and Holtenau The maritime atmosphere is alive in the view over the "Kiellinie", the beautiful promenade, and the Port of Kiel with the many sailboats, cruise liners, ferries and freighters in the Kiel Fjord. Due to the natural seawater harbor the imposing offshore ferries and cruise ships can be seen directly in the city. On the eastern shore of Kiel, the distinctive towers of the shipyards and the submarine memorial at Laboe can be seen on the horizon. On the observation deck of the Kiel Canal locks you see the freighters and cruise ships in their journey through the locks of the Kiel Canal up close. The bus trip continues through the former fishing village Holtenau and invites you to a stop at the old fashioned Tiessenkai. The city centre is dominated by the Kiel City Hall tower, which can be visited. The Kiel City Hall, the Opera and the Kiel Castle clearly show the historical development of Kiel through the resulting destruction of the Second World War. Directly afterwards you can feel the close connection of the city to the water in Hiroshima Park and Kleiner Kiel, which runs as a former estuary in the city. Sporty Kiel can be seen in handball and football, the tour takes you past the stages of THW Kiel and Holstein Kiel. Finally, you can discover the redesigned Kiel Central and the Horn, this is where a new district on the waterfront in the heart of the city arise.
