In October 2019 my brother and I had the pleasure to visit Chitwan National Park under the guidance of (Kumar) Lama. After a long bus ride from Kathmandu we were welcomed at the Earth Light Hotel. The had everything we needed, and more! The place was well-maintained, clean, had a swimming pool and the (all inclusive) meals were good. The staff was very polite. During the three days, Lama had prepared a program for us which included various activities such as jungle canoeing, visiting an elephant pharm, a local village an dance show. The absolute highlight was the jungle walk where we encountered a rhinoceros! I would describe Lama as a helpful, professional, sincere and enthusiastic guide. After the three days it felt like we made a friend! We hope Lama and the hotel are doing well and we wish him and his family all the best during these difficult Covid times. Best regards from Amsterdam, Eric.

I had Bhaktapur tour with One Nepal Treks and Tours. Binaya took good care of me during the entire tour. I was into morning photography of Bhaktapur city which is full ancient architecture, ancient town with narrow alleys. Binaya supported my photography tour with great patience. I would like to thank him for letting me enjoy my passion in Bhaktapur and also for being so friendly. Binaya is a true tourism entrepreneur and has mastered his capability of understanding the exact needs of his clients. Nepaltrekstour.com and Binaya both are highly recommended.

Returning without doing mountain flight from Kathmandu, the trip is incomplete. This trip usually operates daily in the morning between 6 am to 9 am from the domestic airport from Kathmandu. It is an hour flight takes you mountain scenery including close up view of Mt. Everest (the highest peak in the World – 8,848 meters). This is one of the best ways to see and appreciate the incredible mountain view are to see it from a bird’s point of view. And that can be done with a mountain flight to and around Mt. Everest! Everest for a 360º view of the mountain before returning to Kathmandu.

Langtang valley trekking is a small and beautiful valley that lies just south of the Tibetan border. It is between the main Himalayan range to the north and a slightly lower range of snowy peaks to the south. Langtang Lirung (7246m) dominates the valley to the north; Gang Chhenpo (6388m) and Naya Kangri (5864m) lie to the south; and Dorge Lakpa (69866m) protects the east end of the valley. The area was designated Nepal's first Himalayan national park in 1971. This high and isolated region is inhabited by Tamangs whose religious practices, language and dress are much more similar to those of Tibet than to the traditions of their cousins in the Middle Hills. Langtang valley trekking offers an opportunity to explore villages, climb small peaks and visit glaciers at a comfortably low elevation. According to legend a lama following a runaway yak discovered the valley. Hence the name- lang is Tibetan for 'yak' and teng (more correctly dhang) means 'to follow'.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this trek on which we were expertly guided by Shiva Prasad. As mature age trekkers we found Shiva to be highly organised, exceptionally aware of our safety and comfort and a source of interesting information on all the sites and mountain peaks we saw. He was great company and we would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a safe and enjoyable trek.
