A trip to Hiroshima is best kicked off with a visit to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, which contains a museum, the remnants of buildings destroyed by the 1945 atomic bomb and monuments to the people killed by this nuclear attack. Understanding Hiroshima’s relatively recent devastation is key to fully appreciating its beauty and culture. Visit splendidly rebuilt historic sites like Hiroshima Castle and Shukkei-en Garden, and don’t miss the Itsukushima Shrine on the nearby island of Miyajima.

Although it is only an hour away from World Heritage such as the Atomic Bomb Dome and Miyajima, Adventure programs are possible in beautiful waters that you can drink. The second most delicious sweetfish in Japan is the Mizuuchi River, where you can interact with small fish and various creatures. A fun and adventurous experience, of course, The special point is that the program includes learning from the perspective of the SDGs, such as the environment and peace.

Perfect opportunity to touch and learn the local lifestyle of Etajima island. We biked through narrow and backstreets where we can witness local people doing vegetable harvesting, catching oysters, and of course, to watch the beautiful view of ocean from the mountain - secret viewing spot! Electric assisted bicycle actually made the whole trip very easy. We went up on the mountain, but it was so easy with the e-assist function. No muscle sore. There is a unique history, food, lifestyle, agriculture, culture, and most importantly friendly people. Needless to say, the guiding skill was outstanding. Lots of fun and information! Highly recommended to see a different and real Hiroshima.

I highly recommend the Hiroshima Peace (Heiwa) Walking Tour to anyone who would like to learn about Hiroshima bombing history. The guide, Yuji has much experience and knowledge. He could share the bombing stories of his family and the people in Hiroshima with you. I had a great time especially talking over lunch with Yuji at the top of Orizuru Tower, the last place we visited. It was very much appreciated to answer all my questions that I had been wondering for a long time.

The flexibility to chose locations that suited our wants and abilities was great. Hiro San was very quick to put together an itinerary that accommodated a family with a stroller-baby (no monkey park due to long unpacked walking paths). Taking in the beautiful temples and view of the Kyoto from the west was breath taking and the guide was able to explain many things we as new Japanese learners could not read or know through cultural knowledge. Overall a great experience, a wonderful and lively guide, and some great memories.

The tour was just like a live stream. You will get on a rickshaw and your friendly driver will show you around in Kyoto. After the ride, your guide will walk with you and take you to the beautiful bamboo forest and Tenruji Temple. You will also meet monkeys at the park in Iwatayama! The only thing I was disappointed about was I couldn't taste the Shojin Ryori or Buddhist vegetarian meal that our guide Mickey-san showed and explained. I should be on the real tour!

This tour gives an opportunity to cycle around Hiroshima learning about the aftermath of the Atomic bomb and the impact on the citizens of Japan. The tour was very knowledgeable on the topic. I learned a lot about the history of the Atomic bomb and I appreciate what the symbolism of the effects were. I highly recommend this tour if you are into cycling and history!
