As soon as we decided to visit UAE, I knew that a visit to Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi would be at the top of my list. I excitedly booked this tour (unfortunately without giving any consideration to double checking the covid quaratine rules). The next day, Nick reached out to me via iMessage and phone. He explained the quarantine rules (10 days in Dubai if not vaccinated or 5 days in Dubai if vaccinated - regardless of PCR test results) and offered to help me reschedule my tour date to accommodate the guidelines. We unfortunately had to cancel this trip due to these guidelines, but I appreciate Nick's professionalism and courtesy to inform me of the rules and help me find a suitable alternative. I hope to return in the future to go on this tour!

After living for 5 years in the UAE we FINALLY decided to do a desert tour! Organizing the tour was easy enough but we did not receive any information about attire until the day before (despite asking) so we’re not aware that it gets extremely cold. First tip is to take really warm clothing and ideally a head covering too as it’s really quite windy and cold once the sun goes down. Our guide (Fahim) was absolutely excellent. He was knowledgeable about the area and made sure to tailor the experience to what we wanted to do. There were opportunities to see a falcon farm and do dune bashing/quad biking though we preferred not to do those. I took a short camel ride (mainly for photo-opportunities) and then we had a lovely walk through the dunes and watched the sunset. We then had an absolutely delicious barbecue meal for two in a really picturesque location. Again, Fahim was great at organizing this and service was faultless and unobtrusive. As we were by then absolutely frozen by the desert winds (!), Fahim arranged an impromptu camp fire - I wish I had brought marshmellows! Would definitely recommend them but be sure to take warm clothing and a blanket and if you like them - marshmellows!
