We were only the 2 of us (due to Covid limited trip bokings) so we felt really personal and intimate. Beautiful scenery around Yoichi & Shakotan Blue enhanced by the explanations of the guide. The guide (Yama-san) has a very good English understanding so the communication was easy. It was very nice from him of taking pictures of us on the different locations. Being an all day tour, we had plenty of time at each stop to enjoy all there was to see and do (the guide adapted very well to our more "adventurer" personal expectations). Overall, a really nice and memorable experience. Highly recommended.

My 20 year old son and I have just returned from our fun day out with Sumi. She picked us at the hotel and dropped us off at the end. She is a “local” speaks great English and has almost all the answers ! We parked up in the road rest area got kitted up, and hiked off into the woods. The snow was deep and fun to mess around in. Little sign of other people which was nice. After a hot tea and sweets we hiked back. Sadly we saw no animal life except rabbit tracks. I suggest that you do this trip BEFORE going skiing/ snowboarding as a great intro to the hills/trees/snow etc. DO NOT MISS the Onsen. A truly classic wonderful relaxing and strangely “normal” experience. Thanks Sumi

The flexibility to chose locations that suited our wants and abilities was great. Hiro San was very quick to put together an itinerary that accommodated a family with a stroller-baby (no monkey park due to long unpacked walking paths). Taking in the beautiful temples and view of the Kyoto from the west was breath taking and the guide was able to explain many things we as new Japanese learners could not read or know through cultural knowledge. Overall a great experience, a wonderful and lively guide, and some great memories.

Jun was our guide for the day and was a cool guy. He took us through a few nice and easy mountains paths to a river in the valley, then from there round the town of Jozankei. We were lucky that Tonga were training training as Jun took a side tour to show us rugby fans where they were (little bonus). It was easy going and built up my appetite for the curry at the Onsen at the end. Good start to my holiday :) (you may need a little bit of fitness to do this as there is a slight up and downhill), but Jun will go at your pace.
