We were at the designated place,on time and waited with no tour arriving. In fact, other tour operators didn't even hear of this tour. We were there waiting one hour early and waited 45 minutes after the start time. Very unhappy and have contacted my credit card company for a refund on my money for the tour.

My parents were evacuated from Guernsey at the start of the WWII so I grew up hearing many stories of life as an evacuee. My husbands parents stayed on the Island during the occupation, and they passed on many stories to me of Island life then.

Living in the island going on a jet ski locally is something I have never done, you often forget to experience things that are on your own door step, not sure what kind of experience it was going to be but it exceeded what I didn’t expect! It reminds you to appreciate the activities you have on your own door stop, not being able to get away as easily means we get more times to experience the more local activities which I am grateful for! Such a great team.. Thankyou so much

Even the miserable lady in the gift shop shouldn't put you off. The guys on the Duck and other staff are super friendly. They were let down by the miserable ride lady in the Castle gift shop. That said Elizabeth Castle is a great day out. It shouldn't be missed. I highly recommend you take a picnic and allow yourself several hours to enjoy.

Tried doing this trip 2 years ago but on the previous attempt there were massive waves and we diverted to the Echrohos The weather in Jersey is very variable do you never know when you book whether your trip will happen This year we had booked Chaussey and the Minquiers. Covid put pay to the Chaussey trip but we were blessed with blue skies and smooth seas to the Minquiers A brilliant trip , loved the main island , the rocks sea birds and the sand dunes and the swim Great skippers, laid back and relaxed We had a late treat ; just after the skipper said thanks and the trip was over a school of dolphins in St Catherines Harbour put on a show playing with the paddle boarders and swimmers. Very special

Besides little change in St Peter Port, except for the shops, the Medieval Church and Castle are a rare glimpse into a bygone age. The flowers along the way, in season, are a joy to see. The firing of the noon day gun in Castle Cornet by keepers in their Militia uniform, is a great opportunity for a photograph along with views of St Peter Port.
Inclusions: All Fees and Taxes
Exclusions: Snacks
Jan’s tour was well planned with many enlarged photos so we could see the places we were standing in, as they were during the war. The St Peters Port route gave attention to places mentioned in Potato Peel Pie, but put them in the wider context of Guernsey history. She drew on her own family history with photographs which showed the impact of world events on the individual. As an aside, as we walked she drew attention to other historical buildings. We were a large group of 16 but kept together well. Jan used a microphone so could be heard clearly at all times. She was highly organised and full of local knowledge.
