We were picked up at our hotel on time. Water was provided for both of us (it was a HOT day). Our guide explained the sites and worked with us to pick the ones that were the most interesting to us. While we were in the sites exploring, our driver would surprise us with samples of the local foods when we got back to the car. Excellent experience!

This was excellent value for money! Everyone we dealt with was professional and our driver was amazing. The night before our tour we arranged an itinerary for the next day by email and the timings suggested for each stop were spot on. No waiting around in the hot sun for the bus and in 5 hours we saw heaps. Highly recommend.

Regardless who you are, if you're going to Malta, you have not experienced fully without this guided tour of Valletta. In one day I did first the Valletta tour and then the Mdina tour with Matthew as a guide and I could not have been more satisfied. The way Matthew tells the stories of the city, reflecting on the leadership of the various knights of S:t Johns order and the strategic location of the city up until more recent times, makes you want to start studying history yourself. Even more, a real historian true to his form, Matthew skilfully relates the more contentious topics of the history and politics of the region's last millennium or so, but with objectivity, so that you yourself learn the different points of view and get a deeper understanding of what has formed Malta as she is today. To summarize - don't come to Malta without taking this tour.

My husband and I went on this tour in November 2019. The tour guide said he was not a guide but a driver to take us to Game of Throne Sites. He gave us a amateurish booklet with rude pictures of Game of Throne scenes that were to correspond to the sites. We saw Fort St. Elmo from a distance because the driver said it was closed to the public, which we later learned was a lie. There were several other sites that we saw only from a distance. The booklet clearly showed Gozo as a site that we were supposed to visit, but the driver refused and took us to Popeye Village instead. We refused to go there as it would involve additional expense and was not a Game of Throne site. To add insult to injury, the driver took away the booklets that I had clearly paid for (that would at least have been a way to review the sites), stating that they were too expensive for us to keep. I did call and request a partial refund from Viator and was refused after presenting them with evidence of this rip-off. Please don't waste your money on this! I have lost a lot of respect for Trip Advisor based on this horrible experience.
