I had booked the private tour of Royal Mysore with Five senses tours and we had Satish as our guide. It was an amazing day. Satish was a fantastic person with immence knowledge. He was also very caring and took very good care of us who were all first time visitors in India. Mysore was incredible and the palace is no less than Taj Mahal. We also saw other parts of this old kingdom like the old bazaar and few more palaces. The lunch was fingerlicking. Satish had suggested traditional Mysore meals and it was a great experience. Go ahead and book this whenever you are in India! Fully recommended.

Ejipura slums is perhaps Bengaluru's largest. The challenges of poor infrastructure, unchecked development, and large scale urban migration come to focus here. Poverty and associated effects are all around. Yet, this is also a place where the human spirit triumphs over adversity. We will stop at a small business unit run by Ganesh. Disabled and orphaned at birth in the slums, Ganesh rose to establish a unit that makes up cycled paper and plastic products from discarded materials. He only employs people who are disabled like him - giving them one of the only lifelines available. We will follow it up with a stop at Greenland School. A low income private school where teachers and volunteers are working hard to improve student performance, and bring joy. We will finish at the Swabhimaan Community Center and Clinic - refuge for people from their daily struggle. A Swabhimaan volunteer will walk you through the sites. All proceeds are given back to people in the community.

Inclusions: A guide who is a community leader intimately familiar with Ejipura, Drinking water is available. We encourage you to carry a bottle

Dear Sushma, just a quick word to thank you wholeheartedly for the day and a half we could spend in your company. You fulfilled everything we would have wanted from a quick tour of your city. Seeing things we would never had ventured into as tourists (Sikh temple and kitchen, local wash laundry house, coffee shop, flower market) and your explanation of the different temples, religious significance and history was spot on. The restaurants you suggested and took us to were succulent and eye opening. Thank you very much!!

On 24.11 I was having a tour in Bangalore, and this was one of the worst tours I have ever done. 1. The guide spoke very unclear English, I would understand maybe 40% of what he was saying, and he couldn't answer almost any questions I was asking, since he was not understanding them. 2. The tour itself was pretty useless. The big part of excursion was: "This is a five star hotel. This is another five star hotel. And this is a college for rich people." I have not gotten almost any information about the city's history, no idea, how it has become the IT Hub of India, nothing at all. And the small pieces of information he was giving, he was repeating over and over again. 3. The guide was extreamly unpolite. In the middle of the tour inside park he would just pick up his phone without excusing himself and start talking for five minutes, letting me just stay in the heat, not understanding what's going on. 4. The worst part was lunch. Without asking me what I would prefer to have, he took me to the hotel that he has chosen, then he has joined me without bothering to ask, what I think about it, then tried to force me to order what he wanted, and after I have done my order, he has just eaten more than a half of my food. I mean, he even poured the half of my tea in his cup, and of course let me pay for it. Considering the fact he was all the time talking about his son studying in Australia and the cost of the tour (it's 120 euros, pretty expensive I think!), I really didn't feel like I had to pay for him. 5. Not only excursion was useless, he also took me to three different shops, even when I openly said, that I just want to go to the hotel after this "amazing" experience. During the whole day I was feeling just like everybody is trying to scam me and get as much money as possible, and since I was travelling alone, I was feeling really unsave trying to argue and several times was considering just to call the cab from hotel and get back there. The only good point was the driver. He was very nice and driving calmly, the car was clean and in perfect condition. But I really not recommend this tour to anybody, and hope the company will change the way they look at the tourist, because it has given in the end very bad impression of the city that doesn't deserve it.

We met Kaushuk and his wife at the Ghandi Market as they suggested. They showed us around- had us sample Indian snacks and bought us fresh fruit drinks. We had wanted to observe how they chose and purchased some ingredients for the meal. So we got to do that. Then they drove us to their home. There was a welcome sign for us at the door and as we came through the door they splashed rose water on us and put a red mark on my forehead. It was a very welcoming experience. The apartment is very nice. On to the cooking. Kaushuk served us very excellent home made chai. He explained how he made it. My husband who loves chai said it was great! Then there were trays of sample ingredients all set up. Kaushuk and his wife went over each ingredient. Very helpful and it was so nice that they had it all set up. Then on to cooking. We observed and took part in many aspects of the cooking. It was fascinating . Kaushuk and his wife very patiently answered our many many questions all evening. Time to eat!! The meal was delicious and it was served as a lovely traditional tali. This whole experience was wonderful! I am so glad that I got to do it.
