We are cottage & glamping resort located on the hills within 20 min walk from Lake Kawaguchi. All our cottages have Mt Fuji view on a clear day! Glamping cabins are deeper in the woods and you'll have town and fields view from a porch. We welcome small and large groups and have cottages of various sizes to comfortably accommodate everyone. Families and collage students visit us to enjoy time together in our beautiful region! We provide free transfer to/from station, local supermarket and FujiQ Highland. Catering menu for BBQ and hot pot is available to cook your own delicious meal( reservation reqd). Your pets are welcome as well.
Why not stay close to mount Fuji and relax from your busy japan expirience. In the evening you can join the locals and go to the onzen which belong the place. English speakers are welcome. The cottages are really comfortable and clean.

The spacious cottage with own hot tub, porch and yard. Well heated living room with gigantic TV and functional kitchen (hiro will even provide japanese spices and condiments). Most of all, the extremely insane uninterrupted view of Mt. Fuji just outside the cottage and Lake Kawaguchiko is literally across the street!

Spent one night and was great! House was fantastic, well furnished, very comfy and ultra modern. House is right in front of Mt Fuji. Next door to the house there are small shops really nice. Overall was great experience and I will come to stay again on my next trip to Mt Fuji... too bad we couldn’t see it the Mt Fuji due to bad weather condition. Thank you to all the team also for their warm welcome.

【Wifi】 You can connect to Wifi internet service only in the Front Building. 【Free Shuttle bus!】 You can use free Shuttle bus from Kobuchizawa Station and Kai-Koizumi Station. In order to use the Shuttle bus, you need to make a reservation by 20 o'clock of the previous day at the latest. Neo Oriental Resort Yatsugatake Kogen is surrounded on all sides by mountains, and its environs are major resort areas in the 100 Famous Japanese Mountains. In cottages in the middle of the great outdoors, you are awakened in the morning to the chirping of birds and can breathe the fresh air full of negative ions. There are about 220 cottages in the area and all of them are different, so you can enjoy various cottages every time. If you make a reservation for dinner and breakfast, you can enjoy meal in the front building. And there is large public hot spring, so if you use, please refresh both physically and mentally.
We spent a long weekend at a cabin at the Neo Oriental resort. The cabin was very clean and accommodating. It was nice having a kitchen. We ate dinner at the Japanese restaurant, it was good. Make sure you make reservations in advance on weekends. Another night, they were full and Ono (from the front desk) drove our group of 8 people (4 adults and 4 kids age ranging from 3-12 years old) to a Japanese restaurant about a mile away. Since we don’t speak Japanese, he even came in and helped us order! Our friends also stayed at the Resort, they were very accommodating and put us in cabins close to each other (we booked separately, so I had a Japanese-speaking friend call in advance and request cabins close to each other). The kids had fun building a snowman in the yard. It appears there are different types of cabins. Our cabin was Japanese-style and only had futons. We brought an air mattress with us. We spent two days sledding and skiing at Sun Meadows and Fujimi Kogen. Both family-friendly and only about 15-20 minutes away.

A Japanese-style log house at the foot of Mt. Fuji, away from the noise of the city. Private resort log house apart from all buildings looking at Mount Fuji. Please spend a relaxing time in the Japanese private space, which uses plenty of Japanese cedar. All the buildings are fully equipped with a hinoki sashimi barrel bath at the foot of Fuji. The access to every tourist scene is also excellent.

Pros and Cons: + Very close to the bus terminal, easy to get to even if you're dragging your luggages along + Despite the close proximity to bus terminal, rooms are quiet as it is tucked away from the main roads + Clean, comfortable rooms that are decently spacious + Good heating provided + A small positive, you get window view of (slightly obstructed) Mt. Fuji - You have to pay a small premium compared to other guesthouses in the area for all the benefits above.

Many excellent things about the owner/manager and the property: 1. The owner/manager Hiroyuki-san picked my group up from Kawaguchiko station in a minivan which accommodated 4 of us and all of our luggage. 2. Hiroyuki-san remained contactable up-till the pickup timing through e-mail, which was very helpful because there was no way to contact him through phone (we did not have a Japanese phone number). Our connecting bus was delayed and we had to postpone the pickup timing, which he graciously accommodated. 3. He offered to stop by the supermarket in town for us to buy groceries before heading to the villa - an excellent suggestion as the villa is a residential area without shops around. 4. The villa was spacious and excellently furnished with almost anything you could imagine - Cookware and utensils, basic seasoning and oil, a full fridge, among others. Everything you'd need for a proper getaway. We booked the villa with a view of Mount Fuji from the bathtub. Enjoying the view in the heated jacuzzi tub was a great experience. The property is a 5 minute walk away from a small strip of park by Lake Kawaguchiko, with an excellent view of Mount Fuji and the Lake together. 5. Hiroyuki-san remained contactable through Whatsapp, and graciously offered to transport us when we discovered that the nearby bicycle rental store was not open. 6. Hiroyuki-san dropped us off at Kawaguchiko station after check-out. While the property is in a slightly remote area, the entire town is more or less a calm and chill place where shops close early. Therefore it probably would not be much different compared to staying in the town centre.

Historical hotel, very interesting architecture and beautiful gardens and landscaping. Very good dining in the Turquoise Room. Staff helpful and courteous. That being said, the plumbing is a problem. We stayed on the 2nd floor. During my shower, water flow completely stopped. We both ended up taking a pitcher of water from the sink into the shower to rinse shampoo from our hair. The staff gave a $40 refund for our trouble.
