The five dramatic Patagonian provinces stretch from the ice fields and granite peaks of the Andes mountains to the rugged Atlantic coast, where southern right whales gather to breed. A nature lover's dream, it's also home to the sizable Peninsula Valdes southern elephant seal colony and the world's largest Magellanic penguin colony, located in the Punta Tombo reserve. At its tip, Tierra del Fuego and Ushuaia, the globe's southernmost city, are popular jumping-off points for Antarctic cruises.

After many years as a traveler, I must say that what I appreciate the most of any hotel is how customer-centered and aware of their guests' needs they are. It's a hard-to-find quality, as many hotels treat customers as if they were getting a burger in a fast food chain restaurant, where there are no options or exceptions but what it is offered. Arbolar is a refreshing exception. I'll explain.I'm a very tall person, much taller than average. During our check-in, the hotel owner expressed to me her concern: I would not comfortably fit in the shower. She was right: even though there's a bath tub, you would have to start to duck if you're any taller than 6'2". So she offered me to change me to a different room - which was smaller, but the bathroom roof was higher. We spent but one night in that room. Next morning, she was still concerned that we wouldn't be comfortable, so she offered to move us to one of the houses, at no extra charge. The house was just beautiful, and incredibly comfortable, luminous, with every amenity you may need for your vacation. Room service is also very good, discrete, and unobtrusive. My only criticism is that for the price they could offer breakfast. They do offer to provide breakfast which is prepared by a third party. We used this option once, but it was a let down. You'd be much better off fixing your own breakfast or getting one in town. Overall, I was very satisfied with this place, and I would recommend it highly.

It is a family owned and hosted hostel, with great views excelente service and good prices. Santiago was the greatest host ever. He was always aware of what we needed and also he was super helpful with all the information regarding places to go and visiting during our Stay. It is located just in front the lake with beach access just across the street. I super recommend to stay here when you are vacationing with friends. Lovely people, lovely place.

Monica jna gran anfitriona. Balance muy positivo

We stayed for 8 days, two in the small cabin and 6 in one of the large ones. The small cabin is in the center of the property, 3 floors with kitchen, a large bathroom (with a view to the stars) and a comfortable bedroom. The large cabins are 3 floors too with kitchen and livingroom at the entrance level, a bedroom for 3 upstairs and a room for 2 with a large bathroom downstairs. All rooms have a great view to the Nahuel Hapi lake. The service is great, people is very friendly and educated. It's a family business, so they care a lot to provide the best for their guests. Breakfast is the tipical Argentinean with "facturas", cofee, te, butter and jam. The price is fare considering the quality of the acomodation and the amazing landscape. It's located in Bahia Manzano, 15km away from Villa la Angostura downtown. If you want to visit places around a car is recommended.
