The third-largest of Germany’s 16 provinces both in terms of size and population, Baden-Wurttemberg in the country’s southwest borders both France and Switzerland and is home to the Black Forest, Heidelberg, Mannheim and Stuttgart. In many areas, residents speak Swabian (Schwäbisch) or Badisch, dialects so strong that speakers of standard German can find them difficult to understand. It had been raining all day on our drive and we drove to this unique place and we were thrilled as it was the end of the street in a neighborhood on the lake. We rang the bell and a lovely staff person opened the door and we stepped into a very interesting place filled with memorabilia and artifacts. We were on the second floor with good windows and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom clean and small, the linens nice and the room was comfortable. We went to the outside garden that was set up for a cool glass of wine/beer and watch the water in the rain. The hotel did not serve dinner on our one night but did suggest places within walking distance. The breakfast was wonderful and we sat outside with pretty arrangements. We had very nice time talking to a lovely girl who was staffing the breakfast about the area and Germany in general. We wished we could have stayed here longer as the bar and the rooms for sitting were so inviting. We loved walking on the lakeside edge and it was very nice even in the rain. We would return to this area and the hotel.

close to the train station and the centre, but that means the street is busy. They have very few private parking spaces but during the night it has space in front of the station, no fee. The house is old, no elevator, but has atmosphere. Our room " Fred " was on the second floor ( 3. american count ), the stairs are wooden and do make a bit of noise. Charming. We had booked a larger room and as I am not able to compare, have not seen others, it was okay. Disadvantage of this room, very close to the neighbor house, the window is facing the window of the neighbor, there is a curtain to close and one has too. The bathroom was practical and made the most of the available space. The Hotel has not always somebody on side, so walk-ins are difficult.

wonderful hotel near the center of Fussen. We stayed in the new section of the hotel, brand new, high end everything in the rooms. marble aplenty, high end beds, all for (comparatively) next to nothing. very modern hotel. the staff (both of them) were extremely pleasant. in the morning, for the free breakfast, your typical german spread of meats, cheeses, breads, juices. good quality for the foods though. it was very busy the morning we were there, a tourist bus had stayed there, but both staff members kept the area clean and well stocked. we told them before they left and i will tell you all, We will be going back here again. obvious tourist attraction being the castles, but also a nice getaway location with hiking, lakes, and shopping in fussen.

I had a nice stay at this hotel, it's very quiet and from the balcony there is a nice view. It's very close to the river and easy to get the bus to Schaffhausen (bus stop is 5 mins away and it takes 10 mins). Breakfast is very good. I arrived early and the owner was kind enough to accommodate me. I was also able to borrow an iron which was helpful. It was very pink inside the room which I found quite cute. There is parking. Maybe a little pricey for what it is.

Fuxxbau, ausgezeichnet. Brigitte, Du hast alles super im Griff! Weiter so!

Frau Dold runs a superb Guesthouse of three self contained and self catering apartments of different sizes. She runs them with quiet efficiency and enthusiasm. She could not be more helpful. The apartment was located in a residential area of town but still had good views of the surrounding countryside, and of course was convenient for shops and restaurants, and for buses around the area for which you get a free pass. It was equipped with everything needed, but was economically priced. A sauna is available on the premises for a reasonable charge. St Peter is a pleasant village with a very imposing church. Good walks are available directly from the villages and the area around is well worth walking into, so what direction you choose. All in all a perfect place for a group winter escape.

This place does not pretend to be great. It just is, in everything you see you notice a caring personal touch. Second time we have stayed here for 7days and we enjoyed as much as the first. Also our 4year old daughter had so much fun in this marvelous place since there's a children's playground nearby. And for anyone who wanted to immerse themselves to nature it is absolutely perfect in all senses,we booked an apartment room in which every little detail had been carefully thought out and designed as had all area's of the guesthouse, spacious and exceptionally clean. The same could be' said about breakfast, here too, it was available for several hours in the morning and provided plenty of options from variety of cheeses, biological honey, fresh homemade bread, teas, and juices. But what really stood out where this hotel is concerned is the warm hospitality offered by the wonderful couple Milka and Holger, they would have done anything to make us or anyone else more comfortable that let you makes feel like home.Overall,I would highly recommend this hotel and we would coming back here again and again.
