We were obviously given staff quarters as a curtained cupboard and drawer contained personal effects of a previous occupant. No visible manager and poor service. Poor breakfast. Hot water left in vacuum containers for tea and coffee, small amount of fruit offered although it was asked for by several guests staying. The evening meal served was the strangest we have ever eaten in all our travels in Italy, however the pasta course was good but not the cold breaded chicken on a bed of heavily oiled cold vegetables followed by a plate of unprepared fruits. The whole place needs refurbishment and an attentive manager. Good points were the linen and the room was clean. We would not recommend this place or return.

You will find the Residence Villa Valsi in the enchanting medieval village of Santo Stefano di Sessanio, located within the National Park of the Gran Sasso d’Italia in the region of Abruzzo. It is an ideal place of sojourn for anyone who loves the peace and tranquillity of the mountains and might enjoy spending time in contact with nature in a characteristic setting.
Stunning and very peaceful place! My dad and I spent a few nights at Villa Valsi, it was a terrific experience under many aspects. Our apartment was cozy, warm, and very comfortable, as well as provided with all the amenities you may need. The place is lovely, surrounded by green areas and just a few minutes from the Medieval town of Santo Stefano di Sessanio, a true little gem in Abruzzo. The owner, Rita, and her husband, Paul, were extremely helpful and generous, also providing us with great information about where to eat and spend the best of our few days in Abruzzo. Villa Valsi is also perfectly located: from here you can easily reach many sites, including L'Aquila, Bominaco, and Rocca Calascio. Thanks so much Rita and Paul for making us feeling like at home! It was a terrific experience and we look forward to coming back!

My wife and I are English and we stayed in this lovely, clean, welcoming B&B prior to buying a house in Scerni. The owner is a kind, considerate person with a young family. Keep in mind this IS Italy, mattresses are always firmer in every Italian B&B we have stayed in. In fact the mattresses in our home are firmer. So the very incorrect "Stay Away" reviewer should be ignored in his/her comments about mattresses !!

Located back off the main road (SS49),and in Madonna della Pace, this B&B is very comfortable and private. The owner also runs the local cafe and this is where you have breakfast as well. You can also eat dinner here,as they make delicious pizzas. It is a bit difficult to locate as there is no signage, but when you ask in the cafe, you realize this is where you also check in and get the key.The rooms on the second floor have wrap around balconies with a terrific panorama of the Adriatic on one side and views of the Apennines (Gran Sasso)and the nearby hilltop town of Citta Sant'Angelo,on the other side. Our room(number 2) was cosy, but adequate, with TV,aircon, ceiling fan,a comfortable bed, blockout blinds and ensuite. The bathroom had a bath, but no shower. There is a kitchen for communal use, good internet and parking out front.40 euro a night.

Recently renovated room with ensuite facilities, right in the centre of the town. Lovely small restaurant close by, owned by the same people. Highly recommended for exploring A'quila or as a stop en route, as we did.

Very nice B&B in San Salvo. Roberto the owner was a very pleasant young man who, despite the complete language barrier, was very friendly and helpful- we communicated through Google Translate which was quite funny. The room was reasonably spacious and the bathroom was clean, the shower was quite unusual with buttons for different shower types. At the end of our stay, Roberto offered to drive us to the bus stop which was some distance from the B&B.

Bed and Breakfast
We spent a day in this beautiful lacation, it was so peaceful with a breathtaking view of the Adriatic Sea. Our room was very comfortable and clean, the furniture was superb. Our stay included breakfast and the owner served us a nice cappuccino and coffee. The place has a large swimming pool, olive and fruit garden. It was very relaxing, I’m planning to stay here again. The property has a gate and we felt very safe. The owner is a very nice lady.
