Didn't stay overnight but found myself stranded nearby with a damaged tyre and waited 10 hours for RAC to recover me. The hotel allowed me to use their facilities and the manageress was kind and helpful.

Set just off the A48, our new ZIP by Premier Inn Cardiff has everything you need for a simple stay in Wales. Whether you’re sightseeing in Cardiff or staying over on a business trip, you’ll only be a 15-minute drive from the city centre. Our small rooms have been cleverly designed for a basic stay with just the essentials – an en-suite bathroom, a comfy bed and free Wi-Fi. Downstairs, you can grab a light bite from the bar and watch Sky Sports, play table football in our chill out area, or get some work done in one of our booths.
Stayed at ZIP Cardiff at half term with my son for three nights. He thought the room was cool, and we both felt relaxed and not at all claustrophobic despite the small space. Facilities were spot on, lots of sockets, TV and comfy beds. Clean, free parking, and hot water available downstairs so we could have a cuppa with our teabags and milk in our room! A cosy base for our mini-break.

What a fab place. Check in was very easy as details sent before we arrived. Staff will advise where to park and we had no problems with two cars. We stayed in Rooms 7 and 8 and they were immaculae. Very clean, comfy beds and perfect for our stay. Location was just right. 2o min walk and you're in centre. Breakfast was excellent and very well priced. And finally thanks to the staff. They are amazing. Friendly, chatty and knowledgeable. Will help you in any way they can. The locals in the bar are very friendly and welcome you as well. Have to mention Oscar the dog, so friendly. Also Crofty the Parrot. Didn't see the Cat. Highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again in future when we visit Cardiff.

InnCardiff is a newly renovated property in the centre of Cardiff. The first thing you’ll appreciate when you arrive is the fabulous location. We are within walking distance to all the major city centre attractions and the beautiful parks Cardiff has to offer. There is also free parking which is a great if you’re bringing your car especially when there’s a major event taking place. After entering through the front door you will find the property is divided into three completely private suites which are named after famous Welsh Castles. Each suite has been tastefully decorated to a high standard. All the bathrooms have high spec power showers with complementary toiletries. We pride ourselves on cleanliness and comfort. Each suite has a fridge, kettle and a selection of teas and coffee. We also provide fresh fruit and complementary snacks. There are flat screen TV's in each room and free WiFi access throughout.
The perfect little apartment suite for 6 people at an extremely good price! The suite is perfectly located an easy 15 minute walk away from Cardiff Castle and the centre of Cardiff. It’s the ideal place to stay for a great night out! Thank you to the owners for giving us such a wonderful little place to stay the night!

Raglan Lodge is a 43 room hotel located on the Northbound carriage of the A40 in Raglan, Monmouthshire. The hotel consists of 39 family rooms (double + sofa bed), 1 double with separate shower and 3 twin rooms. We also have three meeting rooms which can be booked as part of a package deal. Please note upon arrival guests are advised to go to kiosk desk in Spar located at the garage petrol forecourt side opposite. Once identification and payment has been processed and card details have been entered, keys to access the hotel and room/rooms booked will be given.
PLEASE PLEASE AVOID! Has read some negatives reviews before arriving. Went with an open mind. Check in was relatively easy, but you must make sure you give your car registration for free parking. Arrived in the room and was disgusted. The stains on the floor were horrendous. Looked as if someone had vomited (repeatedly), then someone smeared it all trying to clean it (which was unsuccessful! The room absolutely stank of damp and mould, but being ground floor and car park facing you couldn’t have the window open over night. I was charged twice. It seems that their policy is to pre-authorise your stay regardless of the booking terms you made with a 3rd party agent. I called and spoke to someone (eventually) who assured me this was ‘’standard procedure’’ for them to pre-authorise and that I would be refunded in due course. Having read reviews on other sites this seems to be Raglan Lodges’/EG (Euro Garages) policy!! The sofa bed wasn’t made up despite the party consisting of 3! When someone came to make it up we were asked to leave the room as they are ‘’not allowed to make the bed with guests in there’’. Lots of random people loitering around - almost appeared they may have lived there? Holes in walls, ‘’brown’’ smears on walls and doors and the crowning glory was faecal matter ON the shower curtain! (And lots of it!) The mould on the walls was just unnecessary Our clothes, especially our nightwear STANK of stagnant water. When we checked out the next morning I asked to complain and I was asked ‘’was it the carpet?’’ Then I was asked ‘’was it the cleanliness’’. The manger to be fair was probably the most polite of the staff and gave a reduction in our bill.

Three of us were on a cycling trip and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. A quick booking in system and secure storage for our bikes was sorted. We had a pint of excellent Wye Valley beer in the lovely beer garden. We had a meal in the restaurant and all three meals were outstanding as was the service. We had a very good breakfast the following morning after a relaxing good night's sleep. A great location for walking and cycling breaks.
