We booked two double rooms and even changed our travel plans to fit the vacancies at the hotel. The night before arrival we found out (by coincidence) that they had only reserved one double room for us. Even though we had the confirmation in writing. The hotel was fully booked and we just got an excuse. Not even a recommendation for alternatives.

My father and I had an amazing stay at this bed and breakfast. Quiet, wonderful interior, and comfortable rooms. The owner greeted us upon arrival, checked on us during dinner, and greeted us with breakfast in the morning. We were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful dinner and breakfast were. The croissants were delicious! I would definitely recommend if you’re trying to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Lyon.

This farm house B&B which is part of a working Horse Farm was a great experience. The owner boards about 40 horses on her farm and runs the three room B&B also. The rooms were spacious and well maintained. The breakfast was very good. The ability to walk around the farm and to meet the horses in the barn (box) and to learn about them made this night and day very special.

The pool is large, great for lap swimming. The yard extends into a forest of trees with lots of birdsong. There was lots of spots to lounge and relax. Also, there is a restaurant, Comptoir?, walking distance with a lovely patio.

I booked this hotel for my dad for a work trip. He got there by himself, the hotel owner welcomed him warmly and made him feel very comfortable. The other hotel guests were also very nice clients. The room was very clean and spacious. The cherry on the cake was that the hotel owner was the cook and he not only prepared delicious meals, but also offered his company and became friends with my dad.. I highly recommand this place if you're looking for a home-like place to stay in Lyon :)

5 Minutes away from Lyon, neither exactly a guest house, nor exactly a hotel residence, Ecully Loft offers 10 studios and apartments around an elegant swimming pool in vegetal surroudings. In the compound of a 1930s house, the charm and the home decoration make this place atypical, cosy and comfortable. The heated swimming-pool and its pool-house are the promise of relaxation moments in the heart of a lush garden. For your business trips, your tourist travels, for one night, a week-end or a long stay, Ecully Loft is a new accomodation concept, friendly and rigourous. All amenities (public transportation, Ecully Grand Ouest shopping center) are within walking distance.
Hotel overview: It’s not a hotel. IT’s more like an vacation rental on AirB&B or VRBO. Don’t expect room service. Location: We chose Ecully Loft due it’s close proximity to Lyon, and somewhat cheaper rates during the Women’s World Cup. Seemed like a great idea at the time! It’s only a few miles from Lyon centre, but traffic makes it feel much worse. We didn’t realize that 3 to 5 miles can take 30 minutes or more. You’ll encounter toll roads if going to the airport or stadium. Staff: the staff is super nice and helpful. They were extremely helpful with printing tram passes for the Cup matches. Room: We rented 2 rooms, a loft and studio. One was 30M and the other was 40. Both rooms were adjacent on the ground level. This was convenient for our family. For most of our stay, we had noisy people above us. We could hear every step, every tumble which was particularly annoying after midnight. Being on the ground floor was tough. I swept the floors everyday. The room is furnished with IKEA everything... Kitchenware to bedding. All the initial basics are provided, but not replenished. (Coffee, sugar, toilet paper) There is no AC. The temp reached over 80F and some days 90F. We had to leave to door/windows open which led to bugs and other critters coming in. The heat was not tolerable. If you stay in the winter, the place is well equipped with radiators. Bathroom: in one room, there was a bathmat and the other didn’t have one. The tile floors became quite slippery when wet. Facilities: Pool was clean. You may need to buy your own towels for the pool. They loan out for one or two uses. Laundry machines are tiny and limited availability during the day. We end up using a laundromat in Lyon after the dryer broke. Parking was sufficient. Area around: Bus stop is down the road. We used it once, but it’s not worth it. Too many stops to get to the major train station. We found it better to drive to the tram station. There’s a large grocery/household goods store within walking distance. This is key for groceries, wine/beer, paper goods, prepared meals from the deli, etc. Also, it’s located in a mall which has a couple of places to eat and other shopping. This place was a good escape from the heat!
