I will say first that the place was clean, and the beds comfortable. It was supposed to offer kitchenette facilities. These included: a milk pan with a dangerously loose handle A frying pan with a dangerously loose handle a Tassimo with 2 (two) capsules for 2 adults for 2 nights a broken cooker hood a kitchen sink with no plug And missing were: any form sieve or colander or salad spinner any form of sharp, kitchen-type knife any form, shape or size of a chopping board any teaspoons any form of mixing or salad bowl a tin opener a cork screw a tea towel/drying cloth Bizarrely, in light of this obvious deficiency, there were kitchenette cupboards and drawers sufficient for a small family. All in chipped, aged chocolate brown veneer, with sagging hinges and loose handles. The bathroom was a similar study in depression-inducing brown, the shower/bath installation designed to give rise to Hitchcockian panic and to give cleaners slipped discs. But an obviously ideal environment for black mould. Provisions for dining were hilarious including 3 tiny kiddy chairs one of which was coming apart at the joints. Overall, an utter shocker. No, I didn't complain. What possible remedy was available but to leave and demand a full refund?

Hacienda Zorita Wine Hotel & Organic Farm is situated just 10 minutes from the historic city of Salamanca, surrounded by countryside and vineyards. It was an ancient Dominican monastery of the 14th century, located on the river Tormes. Its history dates back to 1366. It was here that Christopher Columbus convinced the Catholic Kings to provide him with the necessary financial support to realize their dream, discover the New World. Our guests can enjoy the traditional hospitality lived on ‘haciendas’, providing them with absolute relaxation. Hacienda Zorita Wine Hotel & Organic Farm has 40 rooms, suites and villas, all of them have or river views or overlooking the vineyards. It is a perfect combination of tradition and modernity. Villamayor stone, its ancient trees, the collection of Provencal lockers of the 16th century and religious works of art are fused together with contemporary paintings and modern facilities thus creating an timeless environment. During the stay, they can delight their palates with our own wines and products, 100% natural oils such as extra virgin olive oil, cheese and Iberian; and they are all limited productions. This place with its own personality has many hidden nooks and crannies to explore. Enjoy the experience 'To Live-To Love by Hacienda Zorita' and discover an authentic and unique experience. Our guests can enjoy a personalized service, which will make the stay unique and unforgettable. We always offer a simple and sophisticated service. Luxury is in simplicity!
Only one word to describe the location of this Hacienda and that is idyllic. Set on the banks of a river, all you can hear is bird song. The place has history going back centuries and a connection with Christopher Columbus worth finding out about. We stayed in a lovely suite, overlooking the river. Room had a mezzanine level with the bed (which was huge) part of the bedroom, and two full sized bathrooms. The staff (reception, bar, restaurant and spa) get a big ten out of ten for attentive and very friendly service. The wine tasting was informative and took place in a very impressive wine cellar. The place is rural so a car is essential, and it is a good 2.5 hour drive from Madrid airport. Overall I would sore this 9.7 out of 10. For the remaining 0.3 I'd like to see slightly more outdoor sitting / lounging options for hotel guests, one or two more cosmopolitan food options on the restaurant / bar menu and an outside jacuzzi.

La dona es muy desagradable. Fue muy mal educada con nosostros, mismo sabendo que somos extranjeros y veniamos de lejos. No lo recomendo. Really rude owner! Even knowing that we are foreign and come for far away. I don't recomende this house at all!

i believe this facility is considered a hostel, but it is definitely much more. The rooms were a nice size, and one of our two rooms had a decent sized balcony. We walked around the town, some very old, some much more modern. Found a field with a mare and her colt. What was perhaps the most surprising was the restaurant which was part of the facility. Tables were all set formally, white table cloths, etc. Our waitress was Sylvia, and she was excellent. We asked her to join us, thinking we were the only diners. However, the room started to fill as many locals came in to dine. One of our best meals. Breakfast was just basic, but was good as well.

Set in a former water mill on the River Águeda, this stylishly renovated hotel is surrounded by woodland 1 km outside of Ciudad-Rodrigo. The unique setting of the Molino del Agueda allows you to enjoy impressive views over historic Ciudad-Rodrigo.
Its was a nice stop over on my way to Portugal. The rooms are clean and big. The views from the bedroom are amazing. You go to city (up hill) to find some good the restaurants (it would be perfect to have a restaurant over there)
