My wife and I stayed at this hotel in May whilst walking the Camino. After our first day on the trail and walking from O’Cebreiro, it was a welcome site to see this hotel in the distance and right on the Camino trail. Check in was quick and easy by Michael and our room was in the newly built part and situated on the first floor. It had a view one way over some old buildings and a cemetery and valley the other way. The room was clean, basic and comfortable with two single beds and a modern bathroom. It also had a kettle, which was handy. Plenty of racks and hooks and a desk and chair and other seat were also in the room. The central heating was efficient. A pilgrims dinner was offered for 9 euro and everybody ate together in a big dining room across the road from the hotel. This was a great meal and a great way to meet other pilgrims. The meal was nice and plentiful. This was followed by music and dancing. Wifi was strong, quick and reliable. Breakfast in the morning was also delicious and Angela was the ideal hostess and great fun. Highly recommend staying here....a great experience whilst walking the Camino.

Hosteria Calixtino is situated in Os Valos, in Lestedo, belongs to Palas de Rei. Inside of the house there are 17 rooms (13 double rooms y 4 triple rooms), each room have its own bathroom. Facilities: Restaurant, dinning room, heating, Wi-Fi, parking, laundry.
Whilst traveling the Camino, I became ill and stayed 2 nights and a day in bed at the Hosteria to get better. All the while Isabel took excellent care of me and brought me tons of delicious home-made food. We communicated via Google Translate/communicate. Isabel was really supportive and very efficient in arranging a taxi for bringing me to a clinic where she had made an appointment for me.

The pension is literally just off the Camino so very easy to get to. No one lives on site so it was arranged that I would WhatsApp on arrival and the owner would come to open up and register me. That worked fine and I was inside in about 10 minutes. It was raining when I arrived but fortunately another tenant of the building let me into the lobby to wait. The owner did not speak English which made communication a bit difficult but we needed only simple things and Google translate helped. I was the only guest in the pension which had 3-4 rooms plus a fully equipped kitchen and a separate sitting room with couches. Everything was clean and very well set up. My room had a double bed, desk and closet and an ensuite bathroom. The bathroom was spacious with the shower over a tub which I really like. Other rooms have a shared bathroom. There was easy to use and good heating in all rooms and the wifi worked well throughout the pension. Also on the plus side, the building has a lift so no heaving bags up multiple sets of stairs. I liked this pension and recommend it for walkers and any others visiting Sarria.

Nearly hiked past this pension but stopped (as the guide we had knew about it) and what an excellent place for lunch. Full on local food all made from their local produce. Simply put I think this was the best meal (for me) for my whole week hiking.

El alojamiento está bastante bien, bastante nuevo y limpio todo. El personal agradable. Está alejado de Viveiro y en un sitio bastante tranquilo. El desayuno que estaba incluido en el precio fue bastante normalito, nada en especial.
